The best thing about this hotel is the location! Located close to shopping, & the Via Milano area. The hotel is old & very musty. It needs updating badly! There were 4 of us in our group in 3 different rooms on different floors. Our room was nice & large BUT was spread out on two levels with the beds & bath upstairs. The steps were glass, steep, & slippery. You did not want to be walking down them in socks especially if you are an older adult. Since neither of us were able to carry our suitcases up the stairs, we were constantly running up & down to get ready. The beds were hard as a rock but were clean. The bathroom, though, was another issue. There was mold growing not only in the shower but you could see the stains of mildew creeping up the wall behind the door. Since I am very sensitive to mold, I was ill by the time I left the hotel. The wall overlooking the downstairs living area & door to the bathroom are both frosted glass. You are able to see the silhouette of the person who is in the bathroom. The front desk people were usually rude with the exception of one girl. She was helpful. The breakfast was different than anywhere I have been in Europe before. They didn’t have much protein except extremely runny scrambled eggs, “bacon”, and luncheon meats. They did have sandwiches which were one thin slice of luncheon meat & cheese between focaccia bread. They actually had “pigs in a blanket” our first morning there. I grabbed the last one. Those were good but ran out.

Not a 5 star hotel

It was clear from reading reviews that this wasn’t going to be a 5 star hotel so my expectations were pretty low. However despite the rooms condition there are some positives Location was excellent especially if travelling around italy by train. 10mins to termini and an easy walk. A few mins from the republica metro and easy walking to lots of main attractions on average 20mins to most. To the main hotel areas, these were all clean and closer to 4 star standard. The room we stayed in 321 a delux room was very tired. It had good space and the bed was comfortable but had scratchy cheap sheets. A lot of the light fittings, clothes hooks were poorly fitted and looked like they were about to fall off. Tv was smaller than advertised but had a good amount of channels. The bath whilst big was supposed to be a whirlpool but this didn’t work and had a random screw protruding from the bottom so we had to watch our toes. The walls need a good paint they appeared dirty to look at. The cleaners though did a great job at making the tired space as clean as possible which is hard when so many things need some work. Is this value for money? Well it is cheaper than any other 5 star by a high amount but I’d rather it was just advertised as a 3/4 star and then I would say it is probably value for money

Hi, it’s not 5* at all, to be honest it’s 3*. If it were priced as such (including the bar/restaurant) then it would be great, but it’s not. Also let down but little things like the breakfast boxes when we had early starts for tours - really poor effort on those.

This place was amazing for the price. Room looks just like the pictures. Yes it is not a new building so has its issues but you pay for exactly what you get. Staff was amazing and area was perfect. I truly enjoyed this place and my stay here.
