8/10 Good

The apartment is centrally located to so many amazing points of interest. The Trevi fountain is roughly 100 yds down the street (but I should mention that guests need to mentally prepare for the crowds). There are also lots of restaurants (check out Piccolo Arancia!) along the street, and a grocery store (Tigre) roughly 75-100 yds in the opposite direction of the Trevi fountain. The pictures are an accurate representation of the apartment itself (including the small private rooftop). Very clean, with comfortable bed (we only slept in 1 bedroom), nice sized kitchen with a surprisingly large refrigerator and a small freezer. Very handy since we enjoyed tapas (and wine from the grocery store) on the rooftop at least 3 times. Small hiccup with the wifi router the first night but they brought in a new router the very next evening. The only reason I gave this apartment a couple of 4 stars was based on a surprise 'tax fee' on the day we arrived. Rennel told us that we had to pay 6 euros/person/night in cash on the day we arrived. We of course were unprepared and even after providing this feedback to the apartment management team, no explanation was provided on why this wasn't explained in advance or more transparently. Perhaps this is a standard fee in Rome, but I do think that the tax fee should be prominently featured on the VRBO site.
