It was a lovely hotel, with helpful staff. They had secure bike storage so that we could store our bikes, and also allowed us to check-in a couple of hours early.

Cheap and basic accommodation

The hotel is very basic - rooms are small with few facilities. For a short trip, where you won't spend much time there, it's absolutely fine. If you want a bit more space and comfort I'd look elsewhere.

A Great Stay in Rotterdam

I stayed at the Maritime for more than a week. The price for a single/shared bath was great (I booked on another online site). The location was nice, at the edge of the water and where the ferries come in, but it was about a mile from town where most services are. I enjoyed the walk, but there's also a tram and train that go into the city centre if needed. Staff was very attentive. The hotel, while older and weathered, was still in pretty good shape, and was kept pretty clean. Only ate 1 meal there, breakfast, and, although a bit pricey for me, it was good in taste and variety. All in all, I enjoyed my stay.

Enjoyed our stay after the cruise

The best part of this hotel is its convenient location. Just a few steps from the front door we took a water-taxi to see the windmills . Just a few steps from the back door, we took a tram to the central station to catch a train to Zaandam. The hotel staff is very helpful (Paul). The room is small but clean and comfortable. We definetely will recommend it to our friends.

Great Location

It is just as it says. It is a 3 star hotel in a 5 star location. Book on line to avoid paying 5 star prices. The hotel staff are extremely helpful and sorted tram and train times quickly. You are next to a tram stop and 2 water taxis, so you can view the river very cheaply. I would and have stayed there again. Book on line.

Small, but comfortable

My room was a bit small, but it had all the necessities, including decent WiFi. The location is ok to great, depending on what you plan to do in Rotterdam, and there's a tram stop right across the street, so it's easy to get places by public transport. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Great Service

Overall the hotel is fine. My only concern was the inability of the hotel to take payment from the card used by the sending company for the booking that it had to take the intervention of hotel.com after several calls before that was done. This cost me a bit in phone calls which was unnecessary. Apart from that everything else was ok.

Great value

Got a small simple room with no bathroom or shower, had to go down the hall for that, but in exchange for those I got a fantastic location for site seeing, nice staff. I would stay there again, great value. Not fancy but clean, a good night of sleep.

Fantastic

Our first visit to Rotterdam and what an amazing place. We will definitely be going back. Almost everything is in walking distance, but we did use the fantastic tram system. Lovely friendly people with fantastic sightseeing. We travelled with our two children who are 12 and 8 and they too loved the place and want to go back.

Reasonably priced hotel close to riverside cafes

Staff were very helpful, room was very small however I guess you get what you pay for as the rate was very reasonable. It was very hot and the room had no air conditioner and the window only opened about 6 inches. Well located in Rotterdam.

Great hotel before and after cruise!

We stayed one night before our cruise and waited to make reservations for after the cruise thinking we might not like it. The price was SO reasonable. We were happy that they had room for us for 2 nights right after the cruise! The desk staff was very helpful with directions etc. the breakfast was also very good!

Good base for rotterdam marathon

Clean rooms, friendly staff, a great base for the rotterdam marathon, 10 minute walk to start/finish line, quiet room in what seemed to be a quiet part of the city centre. Only gripe, no sausages and bacon at breakfast !!!

This hotel is definitely good value for money. I really liked the staff who were very friendly and helpful. Location was superb and breakfast was really good too! It's not the prettiest interior but it was clean and I was more interested in seeing the city than the hotel anyway.

Amazing View

Maritime Hotel was in the perfect location for me. I wanted to visit Alblasserdam, which was accessible by water taxi directly in front of the hotel. The rooms are a bit shabby, but the view of the Erasmus Bridge was spectacular. I would definitely stay in that neighborhood again. I may try for a nicer hotel with more updated decor. FYI the clientele were largely businessmen from India when I was there.
