The first room they gave me had a broken AC and stunk like cigarettes so I requested to move. They put me in the room next-door; still smelled bad, but not as bad. There was a very unsafe mess of plugs and adapters coming out of the wall to make extra plugs and it didn’t even work for all that effort. There was hair in the bathtub. The vent was gross and covered with lint. The floor felt dirty and things were stuck to it. And when I woke up in the morning, I realized that all my food had gotten warm in the broken refrigerator and the coffee pot was missing a piece so I had to make my coffee in the cup like tea. When I mentioned all of this to the front desk, the woman looked really bored like she had heard it all before, I’m guessing she had. Also, I think the security guard they sent to move me to a new room was super high on drugs, his pupils were the size of dinner plates and he was really keyed up. At least I knew he was super vigilant lol. This, however, did not make me feel very safe. There was a pee smell outside and a lot of activity going on in the parking lot, and I had to park on the opposite side of the building as my room. Would not stay in a Howard Johnson’s again.

Check in was a breeze however when i got to the room I realized i didn't bring toothpaste so I waited till the morning to ask at the desk and was told "nope dont have any" breakfast also didn't look good. How can you go wrong with a continental breakfast??

Had a great nights stay. Beds were comfortable and the shower was hot! Good water pressure with body soap, shampoo, conditioner & lotion already in the shower. Continental breakfast with powdered eggs, sausages and waffles. They also had cereal with bagels and muffins with orange juice, apple juice or coffee. They say no smoking but you’re allowed to smoke away from the building the security guard said if you’re too close to the building they will keep your deposit. Still waiting to get it back but overall very nice hotel and room with the breakfast being a bonus. There were multiple transients outside and in the area but that’s getting to be everywhere now.

Horrible!

It was nothing like the pictures. The room smelled bad and at night it smelled moist. It also smelled like smoke when it was a no smoke all around in rooms. DO NOT TAKE KIDS.

The shower floor kept bubbling when I showered, which caused me to lose my balance. I also didn't appreciate having a security officer ask me for my room number when I entered the lobby for a cup of hot tea.

The hotel is in walking distance to Old Sacramento. We stayed on the third floor and had a nice river view. The price was great and the breakfast was simple but good. Unfortunately the Wifi did not work at all for me, not even in the lobby.
