Reservation Experience
Dear Expedia Support,
I booked a hotel room through Expedia.com for the night before a 6 AM flight. The stay was unacceptable and felt like a scam.
• Room Condition: The bed had metal springs poking through, the shower head and bathtub faucet were broken (no hot water available), the fridge and air conditioner did not work, and the door had no functioning lock. The room was in complete disrepair, with mold around the shower.
• Noise & Location: Despite requesting a ground-floor room near an exit, I was placed above staff workspaces, where constant noise and vibrations kept me awake all night.
• Misleading Charges: The reservation was listed at $150 including all taxes and fees, but I was charged $191. The front desk refused my reserved card (despite it being accepted online) and forced me to pay with a debit card, adding $50 without warning.
The amenities advertised were not provided, the room was unsafe and unlivable, and I was overcharged. I am requesting a full refund and removal of the additional $50 fee.
Please address this matter promptly.
