A beautifully designed hotel retaining all its colonial features. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. My superior room was comfortable, but it was external / street side so there was traffic noise from very early in the morning. I live in London and I had jet lag so it didn’t bother me. If you are a light sleeper request an internal courtyard room. The location is excellent for exploring San Cristobal.

Fabulous stay at a fabulous hotel

We checked in in the evening and there was a magic glow about the Sombra. We were greeted warmly and were entranced at the beauty of everything. Service was perfect as were the accommodations. Added bonus- the restaurant was creative and excellent. We look forward to our next, longer stay.

Beautiful hotel and excellent food

Beautiful hotel with excellent food. The courtyard is a lovely place to have breakfast in the morning or dinner at night, when they light a fire creating a great ambience. Staff were great. Very good central location but the hotel itself is really calm and tranquil. Really nice toiletries provided. Excellent value for money.

Great stay in one of the suites, which was huge and had a fabulous terrace. Staff amazingly helpful and friendly. Short walk to the pedestrian street going through town, but not too noisy. Great restaurant in the hotel.

We had a fantastic stay here. The rooms are well-equipped and very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and they genuinely care about your experience. The decor and ambiance fit the town perfectly and the location could not have been better. You can walk everywhere, and there are plenty of restaurant options nearby. Highly recommended and will definitely be back here.

We just got back from our trip this hotel has very friendly staff everyone greets you. The rooms are clean and hot water 👍 for showers. Walking distance to many places. The food was amazing.

Very good hotel!

This is a really good hotel. The staff is lovely and very helpful. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. We had a challenge working the tv and the safe in the room didn’t work, but in spite of that we would stay here again. The restaurant in the hotel is excellent!
