I nicknamed this place “The Catfish” because the photos online and the reality were two very different things. The advertised “ocean view” was really just a parking lot with the tiniest sliver of ocean in the distance (and I have pictures to prove it). Unless you book rooms 301, 201, 320, or 220, don’t expect an actual ocean view—every other room looks out at the parking lot. Definitely misleading.
That being said, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the rooms—though extremely small—were clean. The beds and pillows were surprisingly comfortable, which made a big difference. The courtyard was truly beautiful, and the location couldn’t be better if you’re looking to be within walking distance of restaurants and bars.
On the downside, the walls were paper thin (bring earplugs), and being directly under airplane flight paths means you’ll be hearing jets regularly. The “ocean view” disappointment aside, people-watching from this spot was top-notch.
Overall, if you’re booking here for the location, comfort of the bed, and friendly staff, you’ll be happy. But if you’re expecting a relaxing ocean-view getaway like the photos suggest—this one’s a catfish.
