It is 2 blocks to the wharf. Lots of restaurants around. Close to all the tourist attractions. Parking was ample. Our room had an old smell to it, but it's modern & clean. Most of the lobby staff are very friendly except the one who checked in & checked us out; she did not smile nor said hello; maybe because she is of the younger generation. Breakfast buffet was excellent especially the fruits - so sweet & fresh & the buffet staff were all very attentive & efficient. Shout out to senora Maria, Toni, Philip. the manager, & this other guy whose name starts with G. Thanks for a great stay. We will be back when we visit again in the area.

Great location, nearby restaurants, shopping, piers, etc. Our room didn't have a functioning TV guide and our room thermostat didn't work but the AC/Heat device worked separately. Would've appreciated extra free water bottles. Staff was friendly and room was nice except for the tiny bathroom. Overall, good stay.

A really well situated hotel, just on the edge of fisherman's wharf. Sean, who checked us in, was amazing and kindly gave us a complimentary upgrade to the best room we have ever stayed in - a huge suite with a spa bath! The breakfast was really lovely and should we ever be back in SF, we will DEFINITELY be back to Rui Plaza!

My disappointment was with breakfast. You are not allowed to take any food beyond the small regulated area to sit. You could see tables just 2-3 steps outside the doors of the enclosed dining area. It was very crowded, very stuffy and not pleasant at all. Opening the doors to let fresh air in and allow guest to move about would have been lovely.

Property overall was great . How ever the seating out along the gas fire pits needs an upgrade . The cushions on the wicker type chairs were ragged and somewhat dirty. They need replacing . Also the area around the fire pits needs to be cleaned up as there was a lot of leaves and general dirt around the sitting area . LT his parts is general maintenance. Otherwise great place and will stay there again and would recommend.
