Fine food, animal cuddles plus views to Nicaragua

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed La Finca Azul, and especially the family whose vision it is -- including Nacho, Oli, and Cece, the three dogs. I've stayed in agroturismos in Italy, and this was a very similar experience, complete with the fabulous food. I'm pretty sure Italy doesn't offer swimming by yourself in a mountain stream surrounded by the echoes of howler monkeys.

The Cordoba family welcome and embraces their guests, sharing their special gifts. Warrenā€™s gourmet food is not to be missed as is his knowledge of the area. Jeni is a gentle Yin Yoga teacher and healer. The dogs and farm animals all reflect the familyā€™s gentle and caring spirit. It is truly a special place.

La Finca Azul is a really nice place to stay. We only stayed for one night, but we wish we could have stayed longer. It's surrounded by beautiful nature, with a river nearby. The food was good, and the owner's daughters were really sweet to our two-year-old. If you want a peaceful getaway with nature and friendly people, this is a great place to go.
