The location is great in old San Juan. The roof top bar is open late and the music is really loud in the rooms. In the morning you can hear the street noise like the cars are in your room. The staff said we could have a late check out when we checked in but then changed their minds the morning of checkout. Overall not a great experience.

Staff was excellent. Extremely helpful and overall very nice individuals, who helped with any questions or requests. Room was very comfortable and clean. The only thing I disliked about my stay was the barking dogs on the balcony of adjoining building. I know this was out of the control of the hotel. I would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

The hotel is in an excellent location within walking distance of restaurants, church and shops. The staff was very helpful and courteous. However, I chose this hotel because it indicated there was s restaurant in the hotel, and also laundry. The restaurant is now closed, and guests have to take the laundry to an outside location. It would be very convenient if guests could have this service provided even if there is an extra charge; nothing you wash yourself in the room will dry. I had small clothing items which were still wet after four days..

This hotel is very beautiful with friendly staff and conveniently located near many restaurants and tourist attractions. Its located on a beautiful and quiet street with a parking lot if you rent a car available across the street for a fee. The only issue we had with the hotel is that the room we rented (economy room) didn't have a window with a view outside. The window in the room was to the lobby inside the hotel and the room itself was very small. Also the bathroom doesn’t have any ventilation system. So that was weird and of course bad after using the toilet. Housekeeping was great and always present. I highly recommend this hotel and suggest you book one of their suites with a balcony. Those rooms are beautiful.

The Decanter Hotel is situated near the center of Old San Juan and is convenient for walking to landmarks, public squares, shopping and dining. The environment feels very safe and orderly, with a visible police presence in busy areas. The hotel rooms that I have stayed in have modern appointments and are very clean. The outside views from the rooms vary in appeal. If this is important to you then you should consult the hotel when booking. The staff is very polite and helpful. The rooftop bar, though somewhat pricey, is lively and offers good food and drink. I would stay there again.

Very convenient to the cathedral where we attended a wedding. Many walkable options for touring, shops, and food nearby. Coffee machine in lobby had many nice choices, however there was never any creamer in the room.

We had a very nice terrace room on the Calle San Jose side of the building and the Saturday and Sunday night noise from a bar up the street was very loud well beyond midnight. They were having fun. That is my only complaint

You have a great staff. They were friendly and helpful. I had never called an Uber before and they helped me set up an account and arrange from a driver. They let us leave our luggage so we could go somewhere for lunch while waiting for our room to be ready and offered to put valuables in the safe.
