This resort was absolutely amazing. From the moment we came in, greeted early in the morning with a very big smile and politeness! Everyone here that is staff is kind willing to help and just overall super friendly. The resort was clean the room was amazing! I was even surprised that the waterpark feature didn’t expect it to be as fun as it was and in all aspects this resort far exceeded my expectations

We were given a room in Las Brisas which needed updating. The only thing that housekeeping seemed to do was make the bed and replenish the towels. The floors were not clean. Neither was the toilet or shower while we were there. The pool was very nice and they were plenty of lounge chairs. Both hot tubs were not working properly and needed upgrading. The ferry to the Paloma Island Beach was unreliable. There is no beach on the property itself which I did not realize when I booked the hotel. The restaurants on property are pretty good. There is nothing to do at the resort in the evening at all. This resort may have worked better if we had younger children because we did not take advantage of the waterpark at all. The staff were all very friendly and I liked that the coffee shop was open 24 hours.

Always a great time. This was our 2nd time there. I would only suggest more activities on the resort for guest to enjoy. Morning aquatics, dance, kareoke, etc.. but we enjoyed the property

The amenities, grounds, location and staff were awesome! Beautiful resort with many options for activities. Resort food/cocktails was reasonably priced. We hope to return to PR and would definitely stay here again.

Stayed 1/18–1/20/26. First time at El Conquistador. Check-in was extremely disorganized. I booked and paid for two ocean-view rooms for a party of four. Rooms were not ready at 4 PM (standard check-in) and were still not ready at 4:45 PM. Staff refused to offer a reasonable late check-out or waive the resort fee despite the delay. At 5:15 PM the same representative claimed I only had one ocean-view room and said the hotel was overbooked. Only after showing proof and pushing back did they waive the resort fee and provide a 2 PM check-out. Room conditions were poor. Brisas wing, 2nd floor had a strong musty/moldy smell in the hallway and room. Carpet powder was used to mask the odor, making it worse. Bathroom was very outdated—rust around the faucet, slippery sunken tub, and a malfunctioning shower that caused standing water. Sheets were thin and pilling. The only positives were the balcony ocean view, facilities, and restaurants. Based on the room quality and customer service, I would not stay here again.

Unfortunately on arrival they told us that they were overbooked and they had to give us a different room. Although the room was excellent it was in the Marina and you had to travel the tram to get to the main hotel where the swimming pool, restaurants, shopping and entertainment was. The next day they got us a different room in the Garden area and we were happy.

The stay was fine. Resort fee was higher than expected ( was told 65 per night in an email, was charged 75 per night). Besides that everything was good.

Private beach at Palomino Island was perfection.
