There were leaks from the vents everywhere, parts of the hotel were shut down without warning, only one elevator was working for the entire hotel, we got locked out of the room bc our key got deactivated even though we had late checkout so we had to spend the last hour trying to get into our room

Once you go past the lobby it all goes downhill. We checked in and went out so we didnā€™t initially notice any issues other than no soap, shampoo, coffee cups in the room. On day 2 we left the room at 9am, placed the maid service sign and went our way, returned at 8pm the room had still not been serviced and no housekeeping staff on site. Phones in the room were broken so I had to go to the front desk and ask for the room to be addressed. Staff at desk was apologetic and immediately calls housekeeping to service the room. Housekeeping arrived as I was still downstairs and starts talking to my partner in the rudest of ways. Throwing blankets and sheets all over the place. As he sat on the dirty red sofa in the room and wait for her tirade to be over, housekeeping manager arrives and they both proceed to talk negatively about us, not realizing I had walked in the room and Iā€™m a fluent Spanish speaker. I spoke to the manager in English, pretending not to have understood everything they both were saying. In the meantime a cockroach crawls out of the dirty sofa and climbs on my partnerā€™s arm! Againā€¦.down to front desk! They switch us to a different room so back to room #1 we went to get our belongings. In the meantime, maid is now on the hallway going off on how she had to clean the room only to have us vacate it. new room was no different than the original. Same dirty sofa, cracked and broken tiles. This used to be a great hotel, but gross rooms and cockroaches do not cut it.

While not the cleanest place Iā€™ve stayed, I will say the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The stairwells need to be cleaned regularly and they need to stop using the second elevator as a freight elevator. If their freight elevator is out of service then fix it! DO NOT SHOP IN THE LOBBY - IT IS OVERPRICED! Mr. Black is good for coffee only - get food elsewhere.

Ants in the room. $35 a towel. Room service never coming out after asking. No food around in hotel. The only breakfast place to go to, we canā€™t even buy a voucher for. Elevators are HORRIBLE. They donā€™t stop for you, have to wait 2-3 times up and down for it to pick you up. Only one was working. None of the workers seemed happy to see you. Please go anywhere else. Takes a $160 deposite but only gave half back with us not taking or ordering anything and keeping room spotless.

I liked the room size and the ocean view, but there is some things that can be improved. I liked the room sofa but it was too dirty and the bathroom door wasnā€™t working properly. I also doesnā€™t like the coffee maker and the fridge being located in the bathroom area. Itā€™s unhygienic. The overall property is amazing specially the swimming pools area.

Online it said that theres a Grocery store onsite but there isnt one I was told on the phone that id get two complementary water bottles a day but its not the case In room 202 the telephone and fridge werent working and my cards sometimes wouldnt even open the door and the roof was leaking onto the floor and the bed sheets were ripped and the fridge doesnt work In room 420 the room wasnt very clean there were hairs on the toilet and on the floor and the bed sheets were stained and the balcony chairs were extremely dirty to the point you couldnt sit on them and one inside chair was dusty and the other inside chair had blood stains and the curtain handle has got blood on it Please reimburse me Expedia. Because they said you would have to reimburse me because i booked through you
