Nice Location and Property

Nice place, well maintained and clean, comfortable beds. Has tables outside room so you can sit and look at the beach. Amenities super close by as well as bar and restaurant, and beach access right across the road in easy walking distance. Pretty quiet at night, though the place was mostly empty when we were there. Would stay again, just wish they didn't charge so much for the dogs! ($25 for each dog is a bit much!)

Just love it here .. the food is good fun bar.. liquor store on property. Easy walk to the beach, beautiful beaches and a great place to relax and recharge

Beautiful view. Rooms were pretty decent. Wish it had a microwave. Restaurant food is alright but I’d suggest Big Sur cafe down the street. They have a killer happy hour from 4-6 pm. I was very satisfied here.

It is very painful to post a not so good review. This was a last minute booking and trip for me. l booked 2 nights here. I didn't set my expectations too high which was good. The pictures online are not true to what you get. The front desk staff was very friendly and the lobby is cute. I booked an ocean view room it said it had a balcony but what they call the balcony is just the second level walkway. My room was very outdated. There is no AC, they do give you a portable fan. I got there after dark so didn't notice the mold in the bathroom until the next day. The chairs in the room were old and ripped up. The bed was clean as I did check. The lodge grounds are nice. But this place needs some TLC. I would not stay here again and unfortunately wouldn't recommend. It is close to a nice beach and it was less expensive than the places along the beach in Cambria. But you do get what you pay for.

Wouldn’t stay again

This is right across the 1 from beach access, the staff was friendly and the food in the restaraunt was decent. We stayed in 2 different rooms during our stay because we checked in and checked out then decided to stay in the area one more night. I would have rather find another place but my friend said go with the devil you know. The bedding was ok on the comfort scale. Rooms were quiet, we didn’t pay for a view and had a partial ocean view, the bedding had holes in it, the walls had holes in it from pictures that had been removed, one bathroom had a decent sized shower the other was so extremely small but both were moldy and gross, and several of the outlets in the rooms didn’t work. I would not recommend or stay here again.
