I liked how close the boardwalk, beach, and wharf are in terms of walking. So, you save a lot on gas and stuff. The hotel had a small AC unit which is perfect because the room got cold fast. The beds were comfortable, but I do have to say the bathroom door is a little strange…but I’d give it a 9.5/10.

Perfect location. Walking distance to beach and wharf. Fun amusement park and arcade flies. Great restaurants also walking distance.

Great location

It was in the perfect location for what we needed. There are some quirks. The parking is miniscule (at best). The bathroom door wouldn't stay shut. We were next to the hall entrance, so it was really loud with the access door slamming shut all night. A little pricey, but you are paying for the location.

Overall this hotel was fine. My biggest compliant is the room reeked, and I mean reeked of fabulosa. So much so that our clothes smelled like it and I could taste it in my mouth. I appreciate the room giving off "I just got cleaned vibe" but it was extreme. We had to leave the windows and doors open while we were there. My other comment would be if you know that 4 people are checking in, give us 4 sets of towels.

Two main issues. The walls seem to be paper thin. Homeless noise and construction in the morning. Parking is hard to find. Spaces are so small it will equal a door ding.

Good but pricey

I tend to stay in budget hotels, so this was an extravagance for me. I'm thinking the high cost was for the location and a new build because it felt like an average budget hotel at 3x the price. The staff were fantastic; the location was spectacular. The "market place" was just stuff you can usually get from a vending machine. The cafe had a few pastries, coffee/tea, and I had a half heated pre-packaged breakfast sandwich. Had to pay extra for a parking stall. The room was clean, bed was comfy, wifi worked well. No laundry room. Pool looked ok. Roof top patio was really nice.

We really enjoyed our stay at Marea Sol Hotel. It felt like old Hollywood. It is right on the beach and you can walk to the boardwalk and the wharf. The staff was so friendly and the beds were comfy.

From the moment I pulled in I was surprised to see they had their own parking. Very tight but had 2 lots for customers at an extra $50 a night. Checking in was quick. However, I had called month in advance and told them I needed a bigger room. They did not accommodate due to the advanced, advanced notice, they said to call again closer to check in date and by then the rooms were all sold out. So that was quite disappointing they didn’t make it happen for me. Also, their fridge had extreme bad smell could not use. Tried to call. Room service/ front desk but my phone had no cable plugged in. It was just a prop furniture. Overall the location is great, parking was nice, overall rating is hotel experience was very mediocre as far as location it was primo. There are other hotels at better rates and service than Marea, Woukd not go again

5 stars for convenience, atmosphere, room aesthetics. 1 star for parking. The parking situation is VERY tight and not enough of it on the hotel grounds. The hotel charges $25 a night to park, however, if you aren’t lucky to get a tiny parking space you have to park on the street with a parking meter, which isn’t fair if you are being charged $25 already for parking.
