For the 2nd time at least, my credit card (tho’ was fine when booking online 2 days earlier) was rejected at reception. No reason provided. Machine repeatedly said recarga (recharge) which meant “rejected” according to them. I believe that indicates signal problem. After 2 long flights (20 hrs+ travel) and only 1 credit card this was difficult to deal with. This was especially as credit card used just fine both before and after this without issue. Reception mentioned another card on file which I’d said cancelled due to fraud so then told had to pay extra 20% if use debit card (Aust). Waiting around frustrating when booking accepted w credit card and no solution offered when issue not caused by me. Tired, motion sickness so hard to think. Reception polite and accommodating, got another staff who suggested solution which rebook to lesser room (as nonrefundable) and slightly higher cost though evened w breakfast included. This was appreciated But I believe if credit card just put through with better wifi it would work. My bank confirmed no card error.

As far as airport hotels go, this is a good one. Very convenient location with easy access to both terminals at Santiago. Staff very helpful and stored luggage for us twice - for 5 days while we visited Rapa Nui they stored our ski gear and then before flying home they stored all of our luggage for the day after checkout while we took a winery tour. Would have given 5 stars for everything but the pool and hot tub were closed for our first stay and it is an airport hotel so hard to rate the surroundings compared with Rapa Nui or Valle Nevado. I would definitely stay here again on travel days.

Super convenient and comfy

Our 3rd stay as we’re traveling parts of Latin America for 5 weeks. Can’t beat the convenience of rolling your bag from either terminal right over to the Holiday and back to the terminal again in the am. Staff are friendly and helpful, great English. Ok breakfast and dinner, something for most everyone.

This was great for a one night stopover. Short walk to international terminal, even shorter to domestic terminal. The food at the hotel is as expensive as you’d expect for this prime piece of real estate but for stingy folk like me there is a little mini mart inside the domestic terminal just across the rd from the hotel. I found the staff helpful and courteous. I’d definitely recommend.

Excellent choice for overnight stay

Hotel is located between two terminals, domestic one is in front of the hotel, and international 5min walk. It is the most convenient hotel when having early flight from SCL. Hotel itself is old, however it does have a fitness, sauna and swimming pool. They storage your luggage next to the reception which is very convenient especially when travelling with skis. This is my second time staying at Holiday Inn, and yes I would stay again. Restaurant is located at the ground level, food is ok. Hopefully in the close future they will do some renovations in the rooms.

Disappointing Stay: Convenience Doesn't Justify the Price While the hotel's proximity to the airport remains its sole redeeming quality for transit stays – allowing for an incredibly convenient walk – my recent experience confirms this will be my last visit. This hotel is in desperate need of a complete overhaul. The aging infrastructure is glaringly obvious. The rooms are carpeted, and you can distinctly feel the wear and tear of time underfoot. The bathrooms suffer from the same outdated feel. A comprehensive renovation is urgently required to bring this property into the 21st century. Despite the general disrepair, the beds provided a comfortable night's sleep. However, this comfort was overshadowed by a persistent smoke scent in my room, which was quite unpleasant. Basic amenities and services were severely lacking: the room service menu was unavailable, and repeated attempts to reach the front desk by phone went unanswered. The absence of mini-fridges in the rooms, meaning not even a complimentary bottle of water, is particularly disappointing for a hotel of this caliber. Ultimately, this hotel charges a premium price that is entirely disproportionate to the quality and services it offers. Honestly, it would be far better to simply take a short taxi ride and explore the many other hotels located near the airport. Avoid this one!
