Lovely stay at this hotel, excellent location for the city. Breakfast was excellent along with the service at all hotel areas - bars etc. one huge concern was the availability of lifts - one broke for the complete stay & another intermittently not working which meant we had to use the stairs to the 7th floor.

My wife and I chose to stay overnight in Santiago as we headed to Patagonia. We are so, so, so happy that we chose to stay at Hotel Plaza San Francisco. The staff treated us like we were 5 Star guests. They allowed us to check in early for a small fee. They also were able/willing to do a small cash exchange at the check in. The staff was great. They need all the praise they can get for being so hospitable. The room was great. The bed was comfortable and the restroom was super clean. Loved the shower. The morning breakfast was excellent with many options. The location, for us who love to urban walk, was excellent. We were able to easily walk around town and feel safe while doing it. The taxi dropped us off and picked us up at the front door. The whole experience was excellent and I would highly recommend this stay for anyone staying in Santiago. We will definitely stay here again if we are ever in Santiago in the future. Awesome experience.

Comfortable stay

Good value for money for this category of hotel. Traditional, fairly formal style and a little dark. We were upgraded to superior room and it was large and comfortable as was bathroom although shower was over the bath. We arrived at 10am from an overnight flight and for 50 USD they allowed us to check in straightaway and have breakfast. Decent gym and an indoor pool. Roof top bar which we didn't go to. Breakfast was OK but not the best quality and it was the same every day. There was only ever one lift working which caused a few long waits. Location is OK but not the best. It's on the main road through the city so there a few shops and and fast food places around but nearest restaurant area is 15 mins walk.

It’s a very nice hotel but a shady neighbourhood It would be risky to go out in the dark All the business have metal garage door to protect doors and window I did 7 cities in Chile and Santiago is the only place I felt unsafe at night But the hotel is very nice and great staff and good restaurant and great service

Excellent hotel! Pool and spa were wonderful! I got a massage while I was there and it was one of the best massages I’ve had. Hotel is very close to tour buses to go around Santiago. Great food within walking distance. Loved this hotel and I’d stay here again!
