It was perfect. Seriously. Open bar with a pretty stellar collection of local Whiskey. Might disappoint those looking for Western Cocktails (they have them, but they won't be the best you've tried), but why would you order that at a local Ryokan in Otaru Japan?? Ask them for their "o-su-su-me" ("recommendation") and just enjoy yourself.
Room was perfect, staff were helpful, food was excellent, and Otaru neighboring areas were so much fun for those looking to enjoy the Hokkaido region.
Hope to stay here again one day.
Absolutely stunning place! Super tranquil, relaxing, staff are amazing and extremely nice. Onsen is absolutely amazing, and food is exquisite. My best ryokan ever in Japan!
Small hotel with a very quiet environment, nice to take a quiet holiday there. Staffs are very polite and friendly. Public Onsen is not too big actually, but nice to try 👍
Outstanding architectural and interior design evident in the change of store houses to a remarkably well operated boutique hotel. The environment, service and food received at Kuramure is definitely worth its room rate.
This has to be the best hotel I've stayed in in recent memory. Mainly because it was unlike any other 4 or 5 star hotel I've visited. We had a great view of the snow from our window and slept like babies.
