This host ghosted me completely. No email, no messages, nothing! I went to the property on the day I was supposed to check in and the property had no information. I tried to contact the host and could not. It put a 4970 hold on my main credit card. I do not have a lot of credit cards or high limits on purpose. I'm a retired bookkeeper. MY FATHER WAS DYING!! This was incredibly upsetting, adding to an already extremely difficult situation. Everything was booked up due to "the season" beginning, the NCAA National Rowing Championships, Divisions 1,2 and 3, leading up to the Olympics, one of the girls teams college championships, several doctor's conferences. This person put me in a really bad position at one of the worst times in my life! I had to stay in Venice part of the time, over 45 minutes from my father's condo. I don't understand how a person could do that and never even contact me or nothing!! I had flown in from Texas at the last minute because my dad called me, saying he needed me. My father died March 13th, 2026. This host made my life so much more difficult at the very worst time in my life. Then the financial strain it put on me with the 4970 hold on my credit card. I had to move around to several different hotels because everything was booked up!! I hope this host reads this and sees what they did to me. I have used VRBO several times and have never had a problem like this. I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY WHOEVER YOU ARE! MY FATHER DIED! THANKS FOR MAKING IT 10X WORSE!
