This place isn't going to be for everyone. The staff was super friendly and the location was right on the beach. The rooms are fine but the stairs to get up to them were a little sketchy - metal spiral that bounced a bit as you ascend and descend. Many of the rooms were under construction and some of the workers would hang out later hours but they were all nice but not the most inviting of things to see in a hotel. The reality is, would I want to bring my wife and kids to stay at this place? Probably not, but for what I needed as an easy located hotel in Sayulita it did the trick. I am grateful for the hospitality.

We really enjoyed our stay in Sayulita. The property and rooms had a bohemian feel, and the views were amazing since it was on the beach. The rooms were pretty basic, and it was a little tough to get extra clean towels after a beach day. One thing to note is that the rooms are located above the DJ area, so it can get a bit loud at night. However, the music ended by 10 PM, so it wasn’t too disruptive for us. Overall, the beach view made for a great stay.

The staff was above and beyond, so friendly and accommodating. The hotel is undergoing some remodeling, so the beach/lounge area is currently only open weekends, but it should be 7 days a week as updates finish. The hotel is quiet at night. I asked for a hairdryer and one was deliver to the room within minutes. Waking up to see the ocean from bed is unmatched, I will absolutely stay at the Maramara again.

There was loud music played on the beach below until 4:30 am. There were no food options or any amenities onsite. The stair access to the room was sketchy and unsafe. This might be a great hotel for someone who just wants to party at the beach bars but not for anyone else. At best the hotel is 2 stars with a 5 star view of the beach with loud music drowning out the sound of the ocean.

Hola el hotel esta muy bonito, las instalaciones impecables. A tener en cuenta la entrada no esta muy agradable… la calle por donde se entra esta la basura y poco iluminada Tienen musica muy alta de 4 a 10 pm a pesar de que no hay gente la mantienen a todo volumen Se encontraba en remodelacion por lo que si llego a molestar un poquito el hecho de que hubiera albañiles El dia del check out no hubo mucha consideracion, nos dieron hasta las 12 pm En las mañanas seria recomendable tener una estacion con cafe y algunos panes aunque los cobren,,, pero si al menos la opcion….sino hay que ir a consumirlo a otro lugar

La habitación es hermosa, la Propiedad no tanto.. al hacer el check in me dijeron que debía de pagar y les comenté que Expedia ya me había cobrado y tuve que enseñar mi cuenta de banco, le tomaron fotos y aún así no nos permitieron hacer el check in .. la cosa es que la ocasión anterior pasó lo mismo.. no se si sea el sistema de ellos o de Expedia.. decidí no pagar otra vez hasta que se comunicaran con Expedía.. me fui a comer a un restaurante y al final me mandaron un mensaje diciendo que ya podía subir a mi habitación. Al hacer el check out una chica estaba en la recepción y tuvo el mismo problema y la hicieron pagar otra vez. Creo que la próxima vez buscaré otra opción de alojamiento como Sayulinda.

10/10 — Incredible beachfront boutique hotel Maramara Playa was the highlight of our trip to Sayulita. The hotel is literally right on the sand, and our room had floor-to-ceiling windows plus a big private balcony overlooking the beach and sunset - absolutely beautiful. The design is new, modern, and very comfortable. Staff communication was excellent, and their custom town guide was super helpful. Loved the included beach club and patio, and the surf break is just steps away. Perfect for couples, families, solo travelers, and surfers. We would 100% stay here again.
