Please read! This property has best location but… the mattress and the pillow It’s like sleeping on the wood , seriously it was that horrible. Breakfast was good dinner not so much… my room was as 26 with beautiful Terrace. Ask for comfort topper if you going to satay there and bring your own pillows…

Can’t get any better for a visit to the castles. Right next to the ticket center. All the staff were amazing, food was great, and the room was very nice with huge balcony #17.

This was a truly welcoming, homely and professional hotel. We arrived early and they smiled and let us have our room with a warm welcome. Despite it being over new year and very busy around the castle they gave us a room with a birdseye view of the castle and also the beautiful horse pulled carriages some people use to get to the castle. I had been unable to get tickets to visit neuschwanstein castle before hand but they were able to get us some for the following morning and said their staff queue early for hotels patrons to get first choice on tickets. Breakfast and dinner were lovely too. The staff seemed happy and proud to be working here - as they should be. Really would recommend this lovely hotel

We arrived late in the evening for check in. Room was okay, a little dated but seemed fine. We immediately found fast moving bugs (identified by a staff member as silver fish and apparently quite common for the area he said). Bed linens felt clean and crisp but on one bedsheet we found dried blood. This was quickly replaced. The gentlemen working that night was very apologetic and did everything he could to help and ease our minds. It was bearable for a night. Hotel restaurant served me dried out, cold chicken and charged me €45. Beware. Breakfast was pretty good. All in all, the only draw for this hotel is the location. It is steps away from both Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles. The view of Neuschwanstein was priceless and best location but would not recommend that hotel!

Best Starting Point for 2 Epic Castles

The biggest selling point for this hotel is its proximity to Hohenshwangau and Neuschwanstein. It is perfect walking distance to both castles. The staff were all friendly and helpful (as well as multi-lingual). I am looking forward to coming back here next time I am in Bavaria.

The hotel is really well-maintained, and the staff were super helpful, especially when we needed to change our beds on short notice. They even assisted us in getting tickets to both castles when we couldn't manage to do it online. Our room was nice—though not super spacious, it was tidy and cozy. The view from the windows was absolutely fantastic, overlooking the castle! One quirky thing is that the toilet is tucked away in a small closet, which might be a bit snug for those with claustrophobia. On the other side, the bidet is in a separate room along with the shower and sink! There’s no A/C, but they kindly provided a fan. Certain time of the day, the room smelled like food/bacon. Overall, we had a lovely stay at this property!

Highly recommend this Hotel

If you visit Hohenschwangau castle or Newschwanstein Castle, this is the best place to choose. Great Hotel, Great Breakfast, Great Staff ! We had dinner here both nights and it was marvelous. I highly recommend :-)
