The Amara Resort & Spa was truly exceptional hands down the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and we’ve stayed at many five-star properties. We had to make a last-minute change after another hotel failed to honor our reservation, and Amara went above and beyond to accommodate us. From the moment we arrived, the service was incredible every staff member was friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making our stay special. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, perfectly located in the heart of downtown Sedona, within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The property is stunning from the pool area to the lush creekside grounds, everything feels peaceful and luxurious. We were here for our elopement, and the team made sure every detail was perfect they even provided a light-up makeup mirror for me, which was such a thoughtful touch. The rooms were stylish, comfortable, and stocked with everything you could possibly need. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, which means a lot coming from someone with back issues. The restaurant and bar were fantastic, the food was excellent, and the valet service made everything effortless. Overall, our experience at Amara exceeded every expectation. I can’t recommend it highly enough it truly made our wedding trip unforgettable, and I can’t wait to come back!

For $600.00/night breakfast should be included. I waited to be seated for breakfast. No-one came, so I assumed I needed to seat myself. Had to beg someone for a menu. Had to beg someone to take my order. Had to beg someone for the bill ($16.00 for yogurt with granola) Waited 20 minutes for the bill, it never came. Building & walkways are in disrepair. Rooms need repainting. I will not be recommending this hotel. Lobby staff was courteous and friendly.

A very nice room. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. I’m not sure it justifies the very high price point per night. Also the room beside me left out their breakfast which sat in the hallway for 8 hours before being taken away.

Common areas at this property are beautiful, but rooms were basic and not consistent with price. We had several room issues and management did try to compensate us. However, this hotel fell significantly short of what one would expect of a very expensive, “luxury” resort.
