My wife and I, along with my father in law had spent a number of nights in very spacious, comfortable standard King rooms (319 & 419). The king bed provided a good nights sleep and I enjoyed the space available at the hand basin, no shelves or cupboards to bang one’s head on when brushing my teeth. The free buffet breakfast made for a good start to each day.
When an extreme weather event rolled in to southern Saskatchewan and Manitoba our plans to drive to Estevan were put into doubt. Donna the manager, assisted by her staff, was instrumental in catering for our uncertain travel plans. Two rooms were placed on hold for us, which was helpful as the hotel became fully booked. When it became clear that roads were closed and we decided to stay the first additional night, my wife and I were upgraded to a king suite, for the same cost as the standard room. We were able to relocate from our standard room, straight after breakfast, into the suite, which was greatly appreciated.
Donna provided information about the road conditions heading into Regina from colleagues located in Brandon and Regina. A second additional night had automatically been placed on hold for us in the event that travel was still not possible. We utilised the second night and were able to continue on our revised road trip the following morning.
The experience at Canalta Selkirk exemplified the meaning of good service and helping to satisfy a customer’s needs. We only have good things to say abo
