RECOMMENDATIONS AND SOME THINGS TO DO IN THE AREA - Recommendation- For top eateries and attraction we recommend booking early as many places get sold out. Restaurants are especially difficult as this area has a shortage of wait-staff. - Harper Brothers- They are across the street. They also have a fantastic store that serves Starbucks coffee and desserts. - See Amazing Views and/or Ride a Horse- The Harp Brothers also have the Hawk Skylift. Included at the top is a viewing deck with free water, Moonpies (a common theme), rocking chairs and games. You can also ride a horse...at the bottom of course. Both are located at the red barn behind their large store. - Do a Tennessee Moonshine tasting session at the Tennessee Shine Co- Only 3 minutes away. Moonshine and Moonpies. - Axe throwing and Beer? What could go wrong? These are two highly rated Axe throwing places that both also serve craft beer and food. They are both in Pigeon Forge. Country Road Axe Co or Axe House - Drive Through the Smoky Mountain Park. The entrance is only 8 minutes away. - Drive Through Cades Cove Scenic Loop. It is 25 minutes away and 11 miles long with amazing views. Try to go early as it does get crowded. - See a Waterfall- Laurel Water fall is 10 minutes away. A short hike gets you to the waterfall. - Go Rafting- Townsend has several rafting companies. 9 minutes away. River Rat Rafting is the closest but there are many good ones. - See a Smoky Mountain "top 10 View"- Look Rock is 30 minutes away. - Get some good Southern Cooking- Elvira's Southern Cafe- Across the street offering Southern eats like pork chops & hamburger steak. - More Food- If you head towards Pigeon Forge and go just past the Hillbilly Cafe, they set-up some excellent food trucks (typically Weekend Only). - Zip Lining- Want to try? It's only 10 minutes away at Wears Valley Ziplining. If you're willing to travel a bit further try the highly rated ClimbWorks. - Need Food Supplies? Go to the brand new market in Townsend. 9 minutes away)

We visited during the week of Christmas. There was nothing festive about the cabin…inside or out. The pictures were definitely deceiving. Parking was not the greatest but manageable and the outside appearance was at most, satisfactory.

There are lots of positives about this property. Mountains are our first priority then attractions so the location in Wears Valley was perfect for us. It’s also close to gray food. The property was exactly s as shown and described and it was very clean. The only negative was the low water pressure in the shower. Not sure what’s up with that. All in all we were very satisfied.

We had a lovely week staying at this cabin and exploring the Smoky Mountains a short drive from here. We spent 4 days hiking different trails and were so grateful to come home and soak in the hot tub :) The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed, easy to find and conveniently located near some restaurants/gas. If we're in the area again, we'd definitely love to stay here again!

The cabin was in a convenient location within a 20 min drive to close towns. It was in the woods but the hill to get to the cabin wasn’t bad at all! The beds were very comfortable and loved the hot tub! Didn’t see any bears but read they had been spotted in the area. Would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin and loved the location! It wasn’t in the middle of everything busy, but was only about 10 minutes from everything happening in pigeon forge. It was very peaceful and plenty of beds to sleep everyone comfortably!

This property was not as presented. The outside was in poorly maintained and in need of maintenance. The kitchen and bathroom counters were not properly cleaned and the cooktop was dirty/greasy. The floors were dirty (sand/dirt) and the porch was in need of maintenance (porch swing was hung uneven and the railing was rotted.) Due to the overall lack of cleanliness we wouldn't use the hot tub. The lack of privacy shades and only shear curtains gave us a total lack of privacy. While my wife was making the bed she found a dead roach beneath the fitted sheet. We wonder how the cleaning crew could have changed the bed sheets and missed this. I almost forgot that I had to correct a fire hazard ( a poorly routed extension cord plugged into an outlet that was pulled out of the wall covered by a shear drape). The handle was broken on the kitchen faucet and one of the bolts was loose on the toilet seat, causing it to pivot when sitting on it. I will add a couple photos. This is the worst of our many cabin experiences. We will never book with Verbo again.

Not as advertised!
What a disappointment. The person who took the pictures for this listing should get a reward. This place was a far away fake out. First turn g I to the driveway there is a huge pothole that tore the heat shield off the bottom of our SUV. The small porch on the back could use some paint & the wood frame around the door outside is rotting & crumbling. On entering the place was okay until you look closer. The kitchen faucet handle fell off when we turned it on. It had been broken & just stuck back on. The first floor bedroom was okay except there was no place to put your clothes. A simple chest of drawers would help a lot. The living room lay out was awkward & not conducive to watching the small tv. Upstairs the bathroom faucet cold water would not turn on so all you had was very hot water. That bathroom was also very small. The futon room was odd also. It was accessed by walking through the main floor bathroom & had an e en smaller tv than the living room. It looked like this had a door to the outside back porch that was no longer used as a door. It had a window on it & another window next to it. When we pulled back the curtain we were looking at the other duplex’s hot tub! So much for privacy. We went out on the back porch which was nice except the foliage was over grown & there was an old tree stump with poison ivy growing out of it. You could just tell that no one was maintaining this property. The dishes in the cabinet were dirty with obvious food dried

Disappointed
The pictures online showed it much bigger tan it really was.
Kitchen was missing oven mitts, dish towels, the coffee maker was dirty. One window in living room had a sheet covering it instead of a curtain. Not enough washcloths for a large family. The hot tub was disgusting and we did not use. The outside garbage dumpster was full when we arrived. There was no room to put our trash in the dumpster. The pictures gave us the impression that there was more privacy between the beds. The loft is wide open. Will not book this place again.

Great little family getaway
This cabin had great indoor and outdoor spaces for our family to gather together. I loved the spacious open kitchen, dining, and living space. Also, really liked that their were enough beds for 5, not including the futon or couch. The beds were very low to the ground, somewhat challenging for senior family members but they were incredibly comfortable. If you are a coffee drinker, make sure to try Heavenly Roast just down the road towards Pigeon Forge, it was delicious!

Great landing spot
Overall the property was a great experience. The claning crew did a good job with the clean up between visits and the property manager was very friendly and responsive. The location of the cabin is great for getting to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge just be careful when turning on to 321 as the brush makes it hard to see oncoming traffic. The host provided many recommendations that were great and made sure there were no issues once we checked in. We would definitely use this cabin again for future visits.

Family reunion
This was the first of our family reunion vacations with sisters/brothers and cousins. We had a great time at this cabin. Great location, within minutes of everything. Cabin was spotless, fully stocked with all the essentials. Comfortable beds, plenty of space inside for everyone including our fur baby. Driveway was a little small, but we managed just fine. We are already planning our next trip and hope to reserve this cabin again.
