The staff was helpful and worked hard to communicate with us, especially considering our very limited Japanese. The shuttle they provided was convenient. The activities were fun! The only complaint was the common shower. We knew that going in, but would have preferred showers in the room.

This was one of the best hotel experiences I have had in Japan. The staff was courteous and attentive, and a special shoutout to the shuttle driver for picking us up from the side of the road after flagging him down. 10/10 I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a pleasant stay at Shirakawa-go and enjoy the surrounding natural beauty!

Excellent stay near shirakawago

I stayed at the hotel after a trip to shirakawago village. There is a shuttle service from the bus station to the hotel. Dinner was amazing. I didnโ€™t expect to be served 5 courses french cuisine in a small town like this. A few bugs problem, but it was understandable since the location of the hotel near the forest. Overall it was an excellent stay.

Amazing!

I have travelled from Hokkaido to Okinawa, Tokyo to Hiroshima and stayed various types of hotels. This one is the best by far for the meal and environment. I am really surprised by the meal they serve, just like a Michelin starred restaurant. Thanks again to the cook and service stuff. They were really perfect. About environment, you stay in the middle of the woods. Green all around, fresh air and songs of birds. Its a bit far to Shirakawa-go (10-15 min by car) but the Hotel has free shuttle service to the main bus stop in the village. So... I would definately stay if I find a chance to come once again.
