I emailed the property to enquire about early check in as my flight landed at 6am but managed to wait until 4pm to check in. Once I did, it took about 20-30 mins for me to be checked in. I then went up to my assigned room and found it was not cleaned - empty drink cans around and napkins on the floor. I went to explain to the front desk and instead of finding me a different room, they offered to clean the existing room while I waited in the lounge with a complimentary appetizer. I was not hungry but instead very tired from a long flight. I waited in the lounge for an hour before my room was available and was offered no other compensation. I did not get into my room until 5:30pm despite checking in at 4pm. I travelled for a conference so this meant I lost important time to prepare and rest. Additionally, I noticed that when I left a pillow on the middle of the bed, housekeeping just pulled the sheets over the pillow instead of properly re-making it. Finally, on my second last night, a group next door to me was exceedingly loud from 2am-8am. I called the front desk to inform them and asked for a room change given I needed to wake early the next morning for a flight. No firm answer could be given on whether this was possible so I had to wait until 3pm to ask again. This is all unusual and poor quality service overall for a hotel I would expect a lot more from. I am grateful they allowed me to change rooms in the end but that is about the only good thing
