We had a wonderful stay at this charming house! Emily was a super responsive and helpful host before and also during our stay. We spent 12 days with 4 adults and two small children (13) at the house and it provided lots of space and everything we needed, from great beds and bedding, plenty of towels, a well equipped kitchen and everything for the kids (Pack 'n Play/high chair/potty/toys/security gates and more). The location couldn't be better, very quiet, right by Tower Grove Park (amazing farmers market on Saturdays!) with shops, cafes and restaurants around the corner. All amenities worked great, double washer/dryer, dishwasher, HVAC, hot water, fridge with ice maker etc.Easy access with number code locks and ample parking in front and back alley. We will definitely be back since this was the perfect spot for our family reunion. Thanks again, Emily!

We really enjoyed the house and the host, Emily, was easy to communicate with! We stayed there with 3 young kids and Emily provided us with 2 white noise makers to help them sleep (there was one already in the house but the plug was missing). We were able to walk to get coffee each morning, play with the kids in the backyard and have dinner using the picnic table in the community garden once. It was a memorable experience and we all had lots of fun! The only hitch was when the ice maker flooded over from the kitchen fridge. My husband was able to shut off the water to the fridge and we cleaned it all up. Also, my toddler marked on a set of sheets but Emily was very understanding and we were able to arrange payment for a new set easily. Otherwise, the house was full of charm and equipped with everything we could need. It's located just a few blocks away from Tower Park and close enough to everything we went to see while in St. Louis. We would definitely stay here again!

Centrally located and well equipped for our group of five adults and two kids. Emily made herself available if we were to need her, but she had already given clear instructions and we were able to get into the house easily. She also had essentials for my one year old grandson that made it easier to pack lightly such as a high chair and pack and play. The house was neat and tidy. Would definitely stay here again!

Overall, we were disappointed in this house given the previous reviews. The pros -- location is great being about 20 minutes from everything, approx 2 blocks from Tower Grove Park, 5-10 minute walk to a playground, a parking space for a large SUV, 5 min walk to a coffee shop, complimentary baby equipment, light to moderate traffic noise, and the host is extremely responsive. The cons — there are a lot. Our first impression was an unkept yard with broken furniture, gardening tools laying on the ground, and a grill cover laying in a puddle. The house was not very clean and poorly maintained. The floor needed vacuuming (the three vacuums (yes, 3!) in the house were all broken, so the host had to drop off a new one), the bathrooms need a deep clean, the bathtub doesn’t drain, the bathroom outlet doesn’t work, and the upstairs floor has several soft spots that are sketchy.I’m a VRBO host myself so I understand the expectation of a rental and this rental house did not meet that standard.

Need soup ladle in kitchen.. I cleaned the silverware drawers after I got there as there was a lot of crumbs in them. I also cleaned the windows looking out the kitchen as they were very dirty. Otherwise, all was very good. The host was great in responding to a faucet issue...got it fixed!

The house worked well for our large family. We had a few disappointments. The house looked like it was in need of a deep clean and some general upkeep. The back yard was full of dog poop, so our kids could not play outside in the yard. The back gate did not close properly and it was very windy, so the gate kept opening up, which made us feel a little unsafe. We did have an issue with the kitchen faucet (which we resolved ourselves), but host was very fast at getting back in touch with me to try and troubleshoot the issue. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and very convenient to what we had planned in St. Louis.

St Louis Experience.
First, our host was unbelievable. She had everything you wouldn’t even think you needed there. The property was located so convenient to all of the destinations we were seeking. The local neighborhood within walking distance was amazing. Convenience store. Fantastic food options. The house has an almost 200 year story and they have updated it beautifully. If you’re looking for a place to stay in St. Louis, I would highly recommend.

Location, home layout, and communication were awesome!
We had a total of 10 people with 3 adults and 7 children ages 2-10. The owner was super helpful with recommendations of local places to visit. The house was laid out great for us to spread out sleeping, or hang out all together downstairs. The only ding I give this place is the back door was finicky if you needed to unlock it from the outside to come in and there were a ton of berries dropping from the tree out back making it difficult to park on the parking pad and enter through the back without getting cars and shoes a mess. I already communicated about the back door with the owner and she was already working on a solution for future guests. The berries, we just avoided by parking in the front on the street and there was always plenty of room out there. Overall this was a WONDERFUL stay with lots to do close by!

This was a central location for 3 generations to meet and visit. The house was SO well equipped for family, especially kids! Some toys, plates, cups, utensils, pack n play, and Hatch sound machine. It felt like home! There were tons of blankets and towels so we were warm and cozy. The kids also loved the fireplace and sitting next to it to warm up on our cold nights.
