Room is huge and clean. Got the room with 2 double beds and it was fine for my family of 4. Location wise had to walk 10-15 mins to the train/bus station, and it’s a longer walk to reach shopping, food and tourist spots. Onsens were good, breakfast spread is good, no complaints.

Staff was spectacular, I'm so sorry they have to deal with less than delightful guests on what seems like a regular basis. We greatly appreciate you and enjoyed our gift of champagne. Area is very walkable, bed is on the softer side of Japans hotel beds. Our room was big enough and it was one of the smaller ones. There is a smoking room by the elevator that opens frequently so there is some cigarette smell when you go to the lobby. I do wish there was some food options though, Takayama restaurants close pretty early in the vicinity and it would be stellar if there was more available at the hotel. Breakfast options were great, maybe add a dinner too?
