Nice facilities with an onsen and hospitality bar from 3-9 pm with beer, juices and expresso drinks. Great breakfast serving Japanese and western dishes. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend and will book future stays in Takayama at this hotel.

Wow, what a treat it was to stay at Wat Hotel. The value here is next to none, and it was such an enjoyable stay for us. The Onsens were amazing and a great place to relax after a long day of walking and hiking around the region. The breakfast had great variety and the staff were so friendly. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Thank you!

Delughtful hotel! Our room was great, and we loved the roof top onsen. The breakfast was amazing, with a lot of local options with descriptions, which is always fun to try. We also had parking for our car, this was at an additional fee. Great area though, easily walking distance to the main streets and alleys.

Hotel was in a central location. Walking distance from the train station. Onsen was very clean. Laundry facilities was very good - separate washing machine and tumble dryer. Wat hotel adequate, but breakfast, while diverse is somewhat crowded. Rooms divide bathroom facilities into 3 separate parts which is a bit cramped and awkward, especially sink in the hall way. The location is a bit hard to find and mildly off the center. But everything is more than adequate.

Amazing hotel. I think we lucked out with the private baths as we got one every night, but they were incredible. The welcome drink was a nice touch. Rooms were big for Japan and a very comfortable bed. Only downside was the smoking room in the lobby at the elevator that made the elevators smell of smoke all the time.
