Simply a beautiful hotel with an amazing swimming pool, swim up bar & a million dollar view with each hotel room facing the ocean. The all you can eat breakfast buffett was superb. Unlimmited drinking water availiable by the elevator. Javiro at the hospitality excursion desk was absolutely fabulous; such a kind & genuine human being! He even gave me his phone number in case of an emergency! He arranged an excursion for me including a coffee/sugar cane tour, horseback ride, 8 zip lines, waterside down the mountain, mud bath, hot springs & waterfall with an AMAZING buffett Lunch at the top of the mountain. They also provided transportation to and from the hotel and was about 11 hours of fun! Javiro's son Sebastian took me on the excursion & he was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable and I felt very safe & protected. He even stopped at a gift shop with samples of coffee & chocolate & Walmart for us & was so patient & kind to us. $190 US for the entire day. There is a shuttle leaving the hotel every hour to take us to Tamarindo, 1 stop in the town and 1 stop at the beach resort. My shuttle driver Randal was THE BEST!!!! He was so kind & hospitable, & we had great conversations on all the trips. Staying at the Wyndham was an effortless experience as the staff were very friendly and provide you with everything you will need. Muchas Gracias for an experience of a lifetime. Overall awesome

The pool and the pool bar were absolutely incredible. Service at the restaurant was pretty slow but the food was really good. The breakfast was mediocre. The cleanliness was mediocre. The view was absolutely incredible I would say overall for the money this was an incredible value. There was a giant bug that came underneath the door quickly in the middle of the night I screamed my head off. And the elevator there was warnings saying that they were not venomous but I still screamed like a girl. There are quite a few dead cockroaches which means that they are treating for them but it's just kind of an open-air part of nature atmosphere and I think that that's probably somewhat unavoidable.

We had to move our room due to air conditioning leaking, once we we got a new room they only wanted to give us 1king bed for the 3 of us, instead of 2 beds I originally requested. We finally got 2 beds as requested and we did get a free dinner out of it. The whole hotel looks old and not that clean. There’s hand prints on the walls and doors to the bathroom in the room. the hallways are dirty, and most of the staff there is unfriendly. The main area of the hotel does look clean the view from the pool is nice. Hotel is close the the town as well.

Nice option in Tamarindo

Away from the crowds of Tamarindo. Beautiful view of the ocean and infinity pool over looking the town and ocean. Staff was helpful but more staff was needed in food service areas due to demand.

That sunet view was stunning. Infinity pool had a perfect backdrop. The room could have been cleaned better and breakfast could have been better. Shuttle to town and beach club was a plus. All in all, it was still a good stay.

That view is unmatched! Absolutely stunning. The room could have been cleaned better and the breakfast was lacking. Stayed in 4 hotels during my trip and this breakfast was the least favoured. The shuttle was great to take us into town and to the Lagosta Beach club. Overall, it was still a good stay.

The ocean views are spectacular, rooms are clean, breakfast is good, and the staff is great. Even though I wasn't to keen on relying on the shuttle to go up and down the hill the shuttle drivers themselves are above and beyond. Shout out to Jaime. I would 100% stay at the Wyndham again when I return to Tamarindo.

The view was what made us book on this property. Sadly we had the worst time, we were only there one day and the pool bartender made our stay feel like a nightmare. We were ignored and overlooked, she instead payed attention to other guests even though we were there way before them. She laughed in our face and ignored what we asked for, at once rolling her eyes. It was sad because we looked forward to coming back the minute we saw the view from the pool overlooking the ocean. Definitely feeling overlooked over someone who seems had more money is always a nasty feeling. I hope they do better in ensuring their staff is fair and friendly to everyone. Aside from that, the property is amazing and the rest of the staff was great.

A good place to stay but a little unclean and not as well put together as you would expect. Could use renovation work. The views are immaculate and make it a catch for sure.

Such a beautiful property! The accommodations are very nice and the pool looks over a gorgeous view. Also loved the shuttle service to the beach club or the town center area. Everything is less than 10 minutes away but the hotel sits up away from all the noise which is nice. Even an Uber there is only about $5 one way. Most of the staff are friendly and say hi when you walk around the property. The one and only reason I am giving it 4 stars is the food. The breakfast was not all that tasty and there were flies around every morning. They did their best to accommodate but everything was a little bland in my opinion. Otherwise, I loved the experience and I would absolutely stay again!

Nice and clean, great food and convenient location. Top place to catch the sunsets. Not by the beach but you can access the beach with a shuttle provided.
