Very nice hostel and staff but I would not recommend anyone stay during the school holidays! Kids were running around (wooden floors throughout so very noisey) continuously and well into the night

An interesting surprise

Location: Good stepping stone to Mt Ruapehu, Tongariro and even Waitomo.
When I first arrived I was a bit unsure about this one, but when I took myself on a tour of the place I soon discovered it was a tardis. MUCH bigger in the inside than it looks from outside. Good design. Also really quiet and peaceful due to its location. I also HIGHLY recommend that if you go you HAVE to look inside the wardrobe in the TV room! Go past the lion in the wardrobe.
