We really enjoyed our stay at Kimpton St George. The museum and university football field are both within walkng distance and provided great entertainment for our 4 year old. The room itself was spacious and had good amenities, the bed super comfy, the attention to detail in cleanliness could have been a little better with dust piled up in corners, but I'm probably a bit fussy in that respect. The eating choices in the direct area are limited particularly for families however there are a few more options within a 10-15 minute walk so not too bad. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would happily stay again.

Simple and clean with some unique perks

The room was not especially memorable in any way, but it was kept clean before and throughout our stay and the beds were very comfortable. Nice inclusion of bathrobes and cans of water. Location of the hotel was convenient, with easy access to the subways, a safe neighborhood, and upscale shopping a short walk away. No pool, which was a bummer. The restaurant offered a decent menu and good happy hour deals. Incredibly friendly front desk staff and valets. Self-parking was convenient and the parking garage was quiet and shockingly clean. Hot coffee and iced coffee were available in the lobby whenever we looked for it, which is not common. And, most noteworthy was the wine service and free wood-fired pizza in the lobby between 5-6. I've never seen that in a hotel -- very cool perk. The room was a little pricey, but if we returned to Toronto, I would strongly consider staying at the Kimpton St. George again.

Beautiful boutique hotel w accommodating staff who gave us a spacious corner room and early check-in. Breakfast was superb. Clean, design-focused, a quick walk to Philosopher’s Walk, chi chi shopping, and two important museums. Do not hesitate!

This is my 4th stay at the hotel. The staff are efficient and friendly. It is a nice, stylish hotel and convenient to the subway, the university and Yorkville. It is starting to show some wear and tear though so I hope they do some updating or renovations soon. Even just replacing the carpeting in the rooms with hardwood would be perfect. I will continue to stay here as it is the closest hotel to visit my family.

This hotel was wonderful. Rooms were very clean, and such attention to detail. Local artwork throughout, we loved the dimmer switches in the room and bathroom. Bed was very comfortable, room stayed cool, room darkening shades. The self parking garage is directly next to the hotel. And across the street is the subway to take you into downtown - it couldn't be more convenient. We did not use the restaurant in the hotel but ate dinner one night at a great Iltalian restaurant just down the block called Mecurio - absolutely delicious pastas, pizza, Caesar salad was great, friendly server named Jill. This hotel had a complimentary wine hour at 5pm each night. Happy to stay here again.

In 40 years of traveling, I have never paid so much for such a mediocre room. Its an old hotel that was fixed up to look good, but done on the cheap. The lobby is small, the room was small and musty smelling, the bathroom was tiny, there was no chair for the desk, there were few outlets, the shower drain was clogged, the fan in the bathroom makes noise and doesn't do anything. You have to request a coffee maker. The people are very nice, but I would not recommend this hotel unless you are getting an excellent rate.

A hotel to come back to !

Very nice rooms ! Quiet place although well located ! Nice breakfast at the restaurant and the servers are efficient !
