Since when does 3 stars mean "ok", as we are prompted in the Hotels.com review guide? It becomes misleading. When I see 3 stars I expect more than what I got from this hotel. It had a faint but distinct smell through the halls, the room was "adequate" but sheets were bleechy so anyone who is sensitive may have a bit of a hard time breathing. I have stayed at the Monte Carlo in Markham and I recall it as much nicer than this, but that was a while ago, and maybe things have changed. On the Saturday night that I happened to stay there was a lot of activity through the night, with slammed doors and thin walls, but the hotel can't fully help that. Breakfast... they charged for eggs, etc, which is kinda crummy when a place offers "free breakfast", but it clearly stated continental so that, too, was "adequate". So the whole experience was "adequate" but not exactly comfortable. I guess higher prices all around have led to this outcome.

The hotel had great parking available, the staff were very polite and the location is decent to the airport.
Very decent complimentary breakfast with an affordable option should you want a full breakfast. I would however offer guests tray to carry their meals from the serving area to the tables.
