There was one Check-in clerk who was extremely slow, causing a backlog of people checking in. There appeared to be other staff members mulling around the lobby area, but non assisting at other check-in counters. The overall cleanliness was good.

Check in took way too long. There was only one staff behind the desk and it was just poorly managed. Rooms were ok, a bit on the smaller side. Tvs are old and outdated. The channel selection was poor and the TVs were without any streaming services or casting capabilities. In today’s day and age, that is just a standard expectation. I typically stay with Marriott and they always seems to provide that. Room was clean but some of the wallpaper was peeling off the wall. Pool was nice but hot tub was murky and jets didn't work. Towels were also basically dish towel size, not very functional. Overall, Sandman was ok for our purpose for the one night but definitely would stay somewhere else in Oakville next time. Better hotel options within a 10km radius for similar cost.

We've stayed a few times at this particular location. The service, room and staff are amazing. Clean and comfortable room. We never hesitate to book this hotel. We always receive great service and we never had any issues with the room. Overall an amazing stay!

Room 338 hears the steady noise of the ice machine outside the door all night. Also the Expedia VIP status that shows when booking hotel for 15 meal voucher or room upgrades apparently neither is a thing at Sandman but is everywhere else I stay that shows VIP. I’ve stated here at least 20 Times over last 2 years but I think I’m done with Sandman Oakville going forward.
