Gut-renovated, air-conditioned 1880s adobe home with 13 ft ceilings and original wood floors. Centrally located, in walking distance to downtown, and a short drive to many hiking trails.
The Space: Step into history, and stay in our fully-renovated adobe home. It's had many lives as one of Tucson's oldest properties, from home to famed politician Stewart Udall (who created the National Endowment of the Arts and national parks under Kennedy as Secretary of the Interior) to the El Rapido Molino tortilleria. Now it can be your home in Tucson, conveniently located within walking distance to nearly everything downtown Tucson has to offer and equipped with the comforts of natural fiber linens, memory foam mattresses, premium bath amenities, and local coffee from EXO Roast Co.
Please note: parties or events not allowed under Airbnb.
Guest Access: The house is stand-alone and entirely yours to make yourself at home in.
The Neighborhood: The property is located in the heart of Tucson. The home is walking distance from Congress Street and 4th Avenue, and the best bars, dining, shopping and entertainment that the Old Pueblo has to offer. It is also a short drive from the area's many hiking trails.
Getting Around: Street parking by permit (M-F 8am-5pm) both directly in front of the property and elsewhere along the street with the provided visitor parking pass. No pass is necessary outside of enforcement hours.
Walk to almost everything! You can also get around on the street car, and Uber and Lyft are just a few taps away (~15 minute drive to the airport).
Other Things to Note: Like all homes in downtown Tucson, trains pass through and make their hauntingly beautiful noises. It is the Wild West after all...The 2 foot thick adobe walls help. There is occasionally live music across the street at La Cocina.
There is no television, but lots of books.
Please note that our kitchen, while spacious, has minimal fridge and counter space.

Cool vibe/great location
From the moment you enter the home, it is impossible to ignore what this home has to offer. There are so many fun details, we could not possibly list them all. We did not eat in, but walked to all our meals with comfort and ease. The home is just a block or two from where Tucson holds Second Saturdays, Downtown Tucson. We walked there to explore each day of our stay! The location is central, but not too noisy, and the beds are incredibly comfortable! Great choice for your next stay in Tucson!! We cannot wait to stay there again.

Experience Downtown Tucson
We loved this old, historic building transformed into a perfect family gathering place. Six of us slept here, but 12 of us enjoyed pizza and conversation in the kitchen. Parking worked out, and there are some fun restaurants within walking distance. It was perfect for us!

Hauntingly beautiful
We really enjoyed staying at this beautiful, historic home. Our teenager thought maybe it was haunted, but we didn't hear or see anything to back that up. She enjoyed playing the piano and perusing the vinyl selections. Hot tip: Don't step out of the bathroom anything but fully clothed--you may encounter someone through the back window from the bakery that shares the courtyard. :-)
