The area is incredibly beautiful and peaceful, and you can see the rice fields and farmers working on their plot of land. It is really an incredible experience. The staff were lovely and helpful, but their recommendations ended up being very touristy (I should have told them that I wasn't interested in touristy things and wanted to go to places locals visited). The food at the hotel restaurant is very reasonably priced and quite delicious. The room itself (villa) was beautiful however a lot of animals like geckos leave their droppings everywhere in the room and the toilet - this is not really something that can be helped, considering the remote location and farms next door - however, this might annoy some people. It's a nice break if you just want to relax, walk around and experience local temples and architecture, and eat locally at the warungs. Beware of the hairdresser nearby (10 mins walking from the hotel on the main road) - she ripped me off! Very bad person. Finally the walls are very thin so you can hear the cars on the road and your neighbours' conversations - bring earplugs!
