This was our second time staying at Cowrie Cove, and we would definitely stay again! We even stayed in the same fantastic room as before! New owner Milo, was so helpful, sorting out taxis and restaurant tables for us in the Durban/ Umlhanga area throughout our stay.

Lovely property in safe and quiet area. Direct access to beach, although we did not swim there, but very clean. Room was very spacious and comfortable although lacks natural light. Pool area is very nice with loungers and seating, some in a shaded gazebo. There are books and games available. Breakfast catered for us as vegetarians, fruit and cereals plus cooked options. It is fairly easy and cheap to take an Uber to Umhlanga Beach with its malls, restaurants and bars. The beach is nice and you can hire umbrellas and deck chairs. The promenade is nice to walk and leads to a small nature reserve. We liked the fact we stayed outside the beach area as it was so peaceful.

Beautiful and serene environment with a private beach and pool. Friendly staff always ready and available to help. Enjoyed the complimentary all day coffee machine and warm croissants at breakfast! My wife loved the plush bed and hot shower.

The BEST place I think I have ever stayed, hands-down. I’m from Australia & I’m quite fussy about where I stay when I holiday. Caroline was such an amazing host. The group of staff who cooked our breakfast daily & helped with our luggage’s etc. we’re just so amazing.. thank, thank you, thank you for making our stay so memorable. I loved the rooms. Just stunning & the best possible accomodation by far among those in Uhmlanga & La Lucia. Just so comfortable. We were spoilt!!!

Stunning Guesthouse in a beautiful neighbourhood!

The guesthouse was in a beautiful location in a very nice neighbourhood with a private access to the beach. The owner Caroline and all her staff could not have been more friendly, welcoming and helpful during our stay. The room was huge, luxurious and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was the best English breakfast we had in our entire three week stay in South Africa!

We had an amazing stay at Cowrie Cove Guest house for 10 nights. The bedrooms were fabulous, very clean with the most comfortable beds I have ever found on holiday. Also the breakfasts were excellent and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The beautiful Indian Ocean is within 2 minutes walking distance and our car was safe with on site parking. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Cowrie Cove Guest House

Lovely B & B, centrally located, near all amenities, shops, restaurants. Just off the highway and easy to get to work and back. Within a few metres of the beach and views of Durban and Umhlanga skyline. Staff and owner were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Breakfasts were delicious, with continental variety.
