Father and Daughter trip, stayed in a one bedroom suite which was perfect. Pullout sofa was comfortable. Having a full kitchen was wonderful, took advantage and cooked some meals. Parking was very easy, however after staying 5 nights whenever e checked out we were informed that due to arriving 1 hour early there was an additional hour charge for parking. Found that to be a little ridiculous considering parking is $50 a day and it wasn’t mentioned at time of check in. $10 is $10, it’s more the principal of not being told in advance. Bellmen at the front door were wonderful, very helpful. Housekeeping was great, front staff were great. Location was perfect!

The front desk staff were not very friendly and only offered one key card (there were 5 of us) so we have to ask for more. The pool could be a little cleaner and the ceiling in the room looked like there might have been a leak. But we had a great stay anyway, the room was spacious and quiet and the deck was nice.

We enjoyed the convenience of having a suite with a kitchen, living room area and balcony for our more extended stay. The grocery stores were close by along with restaurants and shopping. The suite was very quiet when the doors and windows were closed. The only thing that would make it perfect is to have a few more kitchen items available such and paper towel and cooking essentials such as salt & pepper etc Overall a great place to stay!

The hotel is very well located. Overall, the staff is very friendly and provides excellent service — 10 out of 10. However, the front desk staff is quite the opposite: they are not rude, but they are not friendly or helpful either, and their manner is abrupt. This is not the first time we’ve noticed it; in previous stays, we experienced exactly the same.

Comfortable but very noisy!

The room was very comfortable and spacious, but in dire need of updating and repair. Lighting was poor-not bright enough to read a newspaper. Sadly, it was the noisiest room I have stayed in for many years, with constant sirens and traffic, so I was very disappointed as it was the ONE request I made when I booked! The Hotels.com website gives zero description of which rooms are on high floors and obviously, had i known in advance, I could have booked a room on a higher floor The website says the room is soundproofed… this is NOT TRUE! Generally, except for the very first person I spoke to when checking in, I found the staff are very very helpful and friendly.

Fantastic 9 days at Le Grande Residence

We’ve just returned from 9 nights at Le Grande Residence. From start to finish we were made to feel incredibly welcomed, the staff are fantastic, from the doormen, reception staff, waiters and room staff. Friendly, approachable and always helpful. The hotel is ideally located, centre of Downtown. 30 dollar uber to the airport, 20 dollar to most attractions such as capilano, and grouse mountain. From our perspective, the hotel was fantastic, yes there are some signs it needs a bit of a facelift, the pool area needs a bit of TLC, and our room maybe needs things like a new carpet, bathroom re grouting, wallpaper etc. but this in no way effective our stay. The shower was brilliant, beds comfy and clean and the kitchen was all working and useful. We would return in a heart beat. Great hotel, reasonably priced for a city centre, ideally located, fantastic staff in a wonderful city/country. Great job Sutton Place 👍

The location and convenience of the property/hotel is excellent for a downtown Vancouver experience. The hotel rooms are dated and the condition shows. Wallpaper gaps, dents in walls, tears in carpet. Quick, unsightly fixes to baseboards, bathrooms, paint. Furniture, chairs, lamps and tables are worn yet still functional. For a luxury brand at luxury prices, it's does not feel that way anymore, the rooms need care, proper repair and an update. The service was good, pleasant staff but several guest experiences were struggled because it was hard to understand or follow what the front desk/service staff were saying/trying to convey. An average experience at best.

Stay in the residence side regularly and love the location, close to the IGA/Whole Foods, has a wine store and of course is central and right by Robson Street. What's not to love? Was in an upgraded room this time which was fantastic.
