We needed a room for 2 nights prior to joining a cruise. Without a car, we relied on taxis. There were few restaurants and other facilities in the area, so taxis became expensive. Staff was very helpful booking taxis and massages. A continental breakfast was included, but an excess of sugar - pastries, etc was in abundance.

Everything was pretty good but the room had a strong perfume or cleaning solution smell. Now, I’m not that sensitive but it was difficult to breathe. My wife has difficulty with perfume and cleaner smells and would likely be wheezing and gasping, if she didn’t have an inhaler. Good thing she wasn’t there on that trip. In today’s world, “clean” need to have No Smell. Not sure if I’ll stay there again.

The room I stayed in had an unsafe sinking bathtub that felt as though it would collapse at any minute, and I was not able to take a shower. I also found a bug on my pillow twice, they were not bed bugs but they were there nonetheless.

Hotel needs some work

A hotel in need of a sprucing up. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The included breakfast was good with lots of options. The breakfast area was crowded but manageable. The Big negative was the bathroom. Running toilet, non existent water pressure, and a door that wouldn't close. Would not attempt a shower with that water pressure. Very pricey and not a great value for the money.

Nothing to Write Home About

The hotels in Vancouver tend to be very expensive, and unfortunately, this one didn’t deliver good value for what we paid. The breakfast selection was decent but the cold cuts were just stacked and stored in a plastic box without proper chilling. The dining area was not very clean either. The greeter at breakfast was a bit too eager, constantly asking every guest if they were checking out that day, which got a little annoying to be honest. She also closely monitored what guests took from the buffet, making some feel uncomfortable, as if being overly watched. Additionally, driving into the hotel was tricky, with confusing roads and poor signage. Another downside was the AC unit being located at the far end of the room, which meant you had to crank it up high to cool the entire space—definitely not very eco-friendly.

The hotel is easy to find and very close to the Capilano Suspension Bridge and the ferry from Horseshoe Bay. There are 2 pizza shops across the road. Rooms have a small kitchen and coffee machine.
