Travelled with group
We had Appies and drinks the day we arrived and love the food and smooshed along with our service. I asked for a toothbrush and toothpaste which I had forgotten and it never came. I had to call again in the morning and they hung it on the door instead of knocking so I didn’t even know they had dropped it off. Breakfast was terrible, the packed eggs were cold and hard when they should have been fresh amd soft poached. My friends breakfast was correct but also cold except for the potatoes. So disappointed! Also the discount vouchers for $15.00 off were for lunch when we had to check out and leave. The vouchers are a rouse were they don’t expect anyone to use them. Definitely would eat breakfast there again. Room was okay fairly clean except for the floor, the carpet could use a washing.

The room was nice enough, but the experience was a mess. Our King bed room was supposed to be guaranteed and was given to someone else, so we got two doubles instead. The manager claimed there was a serious problem with a number of rooms, but seems odd that the front desk staff weren't aware of this supposed emergency. To compensate us, the manager said he'd refund 100 dollars, but it's been four business days so far with no sign or confirmation of a refund. The (lovely, sympathetic) front desk staff extended our checkout extra late, but our keys were de-activated at normal checkout time, causing a big extra hassle when we came back from breakfast and had to wait around while everyone else was checking out. The front desk staff also gave us breakfast vouchers which we couldn't use due to dietary restrictions, so all in all, the compensation for them not reserving our room and leaving us to sleep in separate beds was pretty non-existent. The room was fine, good enough for the price given the location, but the bathroom was basically unventilated and everything that was in there was damp for hours after we showered. Comfy beds, decent climate control aside from the bathroom, and a pretty nice harbour view (if you don't mind the glowy floating gas station), but seriously not worth it overall. I wouldn't go back.

Overall I quite enjoyed my stay. Although many of the facilities/amenities were older, they were still in good condition. Most noticeably was the friendliness and patience of the staff. I’ll definitely be back to stay here.

Staff were extra curtious and thoughtful of my aging, senior mother. Helped bring her things to the room and back down during check out. Room was clean, quiet and exactly as advertised with the accesible shower and bathroom. Location was perfectly near the convention center to minimize walking distance. 11/10
