The location was great. It is quite far from any tourist attractions, so it takes a bit of walking to get to them, but we preferred this because it was very quiet. There were lots of good places to eat nearby. The vaporetto was reasonably close. Everything was brand new and there was a lot of space for bags and moving around. The host responded very quickly to all my messages and was very helpful. I liked how secure the room was with several locks. The room was very clean and the bathroom was nice. When we got there, the sink was leaking, so for part of our stay, we had to use the shower for sink activities. I told the host about this and he was very involved in fixing it. He got a plumber there as quick as possible. The bed is actually in two pieces, so frequently in the night, they would slide apart. The mattress was also uncomfortable and my back was sore when I woke up. The listing says check in is 15:00, so we planned our arrival for then, but while we were on our way, we were told that check in is actually 16:00. The host was nice and let us in early, but the listing should have the correct time. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place for those wanting a quieter stay in Venice and don’t mind a little extra walking.
