It's a good hotel. Nice (and large) hotel rooms, good bedding. Just one small elevator, but I rarely had to wait very long for it to arrive. A nice breakfast buffet was included with my reservation. Beautiful location, just off St. Mark's Square -- gondola station just next to the hotel. Relatively quiet for a tourist area.

Very noisy in the mornings with the gondaliers cleaning and chatting at 7am, fun for the first couple of mornings but …... Mosquitoes in March which was not expected. Breakfast great. Rooms good however hooks are need in the rooms for coats and towels in room and bathroom. Cleanliness good. Just noisy in the mornings and evenings, however quiet by 11pm. Proper mugs would be good rather than paper/plastic cups. Had to ask for a kettle for the room otherwise great location.

Nice hotel conveniently located to walk and site see. Lots of restaurant options near by and gondolas located right outside the hotel. Bar and restaurant were down for construction but there were plenty of other options only a few minutes away.

Very nice hotel. Room was very clean and on the small side, but it's in Venice! Just what we needed because we weren't there to stay in the room! There is a large gondola docking lot right outside the hotel which was fun to watch. They get going early in the morning, so not so quiet. The breakfast buffet was perfect for us. My husband ate and I made a sandwich for later. The US can take a page from the Italians with their on demand coffee maker. Perfect way to start the day!!

I love the view from my room. It overlooked the gondola parking area. This hotel was recently renovated, and only opened about a week ago. The building itself is very very old and historic, but the rooms were all brand new. The staff was all very accommodating. They gave me direction with a gracious attitude. A two minute walk to Saint Mark Square highly recommend

We had a canal view and watched the gondoliers being prepared in the morning. Breakfast and service was great. The elevator was fine but could be slow if people checking in/out. Very convenient to St Marks square and Doge Palace. Some construction noise that started up at 6.00 a.m but nothing to do with this charming hotel.

This was my first trip to Venice and the Hotel Cavalletto e Doge Orseolo was a great location for us to explore Venice from. Like most structures in Venice this obviously is an older building, but it is very well maintained and updated. They also had a very good full breakfast buffet included with the room. My only complaint was there was no hot water on our first morning, but they fixed that as soon as we notified them.
