We recently stayed at a VeniceApartment.com property in the San Polo neighborhood and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the location was absolutely fantastic. Being right on a canal in San Polo gave us an authentic Venetian experience, and the apartment itself was spotlessly clean and very well-equipped with almost everything we needed for a comfortable stay. However, there were a few notable downsides regarding basic supplies and customer service. The kitchen was entirely out of paper towels, and there was no laundry detergent provided for the washing machine, which was a bit frustrating for a vacation rental.More significantly, the property brochures explicitly stated that the staff could assist with procuring a water taxi to the train terminal. When we requested this help, the representative we spoke with was not accommodating and offered very little assistance. As a result, we had to trek all the way to the train station on foot with all of our luggage. Anyone who has been to Venice knows that hauling heavy bags over the steps and bridges is a massive hassle, and we were highly disappointed by the lack of support.Overall, it’s a beautiful, clean apartment in a wonderful area, but the management company definitely needs to step up their customer service and ensure basic household essentials are stocked.
