When arriving, you will step inside to a sunlit Nantucket-style beach cottage with glowing hardwood floors. The open living room has a six-person gray sectional with ample seating around a 54in TV and a gas fireplace. Blue walls recall the ocean, skylights let the California sun in, and a jute area rug adds to the beachy feel.

A dining table seats four below an elegant chandelier, with the newly remodeled kitchen just beyond that is stocked with all of the essentials you will need for meal prep during your stay. You will love the 'Beachy' vibe found throughout all living spaces of the home. Laundry facilities are located at the back of the kitchen as well.

The first bedroom has two twin beds and an adorable boat theme. An en-suite bathroom has blue walls and white wainscoting with a walk-in shower. The second bedroom has a king bed with botanical linens, a double-door mirrored closet, a bureau, and a sitting chair. Sliding double doors lead to the third bedroom, furnished with a queen bed, a comfy couch, and a 22in TV. Another door leads out to the kitchen. This was the perfect place for our sisters' reunion. It was a great location for accessing not only the beach, but nearby downtown and other communities. The setup of the living/dining area made it easy for us when we stayed in for meals or catching up. The beds were comfortable and clean. We wanted to use the hot tub but it was a bit cold and rainy so we didn't check it out. The access to the beach is only 2 doors down and up a short few steps. It's a nice, wide beach but same thing...too cold, windy, rainy for a beach day! We had one little hitch with a sliding door coming off the track and someone came out quickly to fix it for us. I would definitely stay here again if I come to Ventura.

The best parts of our stay were proximity to the sandy beach (just a few doors down), and permission to bring the dog. The outside patio area that surrounds the cottage is fenced and gated, which is added security for dogs and kids. Beautiful hedges enclose the back patio area, but no lawn/play space. Thank you!

Perfect little cottage

We loved this beach cottage! The location is perfect, the house is cozy, the backyard is a dream, and it’s close to everything so you can easily walk or ride bikes to town for groceries or dining out. Loved it and will stay here again. One suggestion is to have a mat for the bathtub as it’s very slippery. Really enjoyed our time here.

Sunny Days was very responsive to our concerns, but they are an out of town management company. There was a mix up on our check in and when we arrived they were working on the house. Inside and out. The cleaning company they use is a wipe and go. Everything in the cupboards was just thrown in no organization all piled on top of each put away dirty. Hot tub was very gross. Spa guy didn’t show up until the second day we were there ant 6pm and drained it Friday night but it took two days to heat up so we used it once. Sunny Days should have offered a discount for all the inconveniences but they didn’t. Just kept saying we can send out a cleaning crew. That would have been so nice to have a bunch of strangers in the house were trying to enjoy. My husband and I cleaned and organized leaving this place better than it was. It really is a cute little house. Does not look like the pictures though.

The location was absolutely the top of the list of things that were great about this place. It was extremely clean and stocked with the basic necessities. The hot tub was amazing and the atmosphere inside and out was so inviting! My daughter misplaced a favorite stuffed animal when we left and there was an immediate response and willingness to help and locate it! Thankfully it was found stuffed in a suitcase but the owners were prompt and very kind about trying to help! Would love to stay here again!
