The hotel was in a quiet neighborhood but close enough to walk to the city center. Beautiful artwork on the walls. No lift. Staff incredibly helpful. Our room was a little small. Bed was comfortable.

Scalzi hotel is a cute quiet place to stay and relax, the decorations are appropriate for Verona's. The breakfast option is variety and the staff is very helpful and friendly.

Lovely old quirky property. Breakfast in the secret garden was the highlight. Our room overlooked street which was busy but double glazing was good at reducing traffic noise. Air conditioning in the room was very welcome! All staff very helpful

Artwork was like a museum!

Room was small but clean and lovely. Everyone was pet friendly. Only objection we had was that several of the outlets would not charge our phones, although we found that worked well enough. But then we had to share it for the entire stay.
Reception was available after their close to let us in and find our room late.

Perfect location for those arriving by train!

We couldn't have been happier than our choice to stay at this hotel. It was a short walk from the train station and a short walk to central Verona so the location was ideal. Our room was right above the main entrance and the only one that I noticed that had a balcony. It was only suited for standing and looking at the city, but nice to have. The room was large, clean and a good value. We especially loved the buffet breakfast with so many food choices and a very nice garden area to sit it. Got the day started right! If you stay here then I highly recommend Da Vito Restaurant, just around the corner. A small, family ran place with fantastic pasta dishes at reasonable prices. It was by far our fav.

Lovely adult only small hotel. Perfectly situated in Verona, only a 10 minute walk to the centre . Good breakfast We were late arriving an the keys were left out for us with an email giving us the key code for entry

The hotel is in a fabulous location that allows easy access to both the city centre, Castelvechia and train station for day trips away. The breakfast selection and eating area is lovely, with very attentive staff and a good selection of food. The receptionist we dealt with, Norman, was very helpful and was happy to go above and beyond when neede. In short, happy to recommend and would gladly stay here agai.

Overnight stay. Quite dated property. WiFi was limited. Old food in minibar which was really just a wine cooler. The minibar was unplugged so quite unpleasant smell. Could not get the minibar cold enough to store medicine. Breakfast was just okay
