The property is rustic and ecclectic, close to town. Our rooms had all we needed for short stay. The views from 2nd floor amazing. The owner made certain to text important information before we arrived and made it a point to be there to welcome us personally, give us tour of property, and map with information regarding Vieques, colmados, times, etc. There was coffee, juice, bread, fruit and sweets in the morning. Towels, bug spray, etc for our use. Positive stay.

Wow, we had a great experience at Sea Gate Inn. The owner was very responsive to my messages and helped me figure out the ferry, getting a taxi, and scheduling a horse back riding tour. When we arrived she was waiting on us at the gate. We got there around 9:30 AM, way before our check in time. We were going to leave our bags in the lobby, but our room was already prepared so we got to check in early! We were given a map of the island and told where all the beaches and restaurants were, which was very helpful. This hotel has a really pretty landscape! I would definitely recommend to book here!!

Such a beautiful property with wonderful owners. As soon as I booked I received a text message with things we needed to know about the Island and getting around. It was so helpful! Once we got to the property we were greeted by the owner who gave us a tour and a map of the Island! The only disappointment was that we only stayed one day instead of longer!

Seagate Hotel was a great choice for me And my family…. Kelly was super helpful and informative. Her aunt Penny arranged horseback riding for us which was awesome! Near restaurants and beaches (La Chiva was our favorite). One of our favorite things was the amazing breeze on the property especially on our balcony! Super relaxing. No frills property.y son loved all the animals he got to see as well. The breakfast was enough to get us going for the day and it was great to be able to borrow beach chairs and towels! Overall great stay!

My fiancé and I had an unforgettable first trip to Puerto Rico and couldn’t have picked a better place to stay than The Seagate in Vieques. We stayed for four nights and five days, and everything was perfect. Kelly was incredibly informative, helpful, and always available to answer our questions, whether it was about dining spots or things to do around the island. Our room was spotless every single day, and breakfast was served daily, which made our mornings even more enjoyable. Kelly’s hospitality truly made our stay special. I highly recommend this property and can’t wait to book again in the future!

The owner was very kind to fill us in with crucial information to get around the island, which came in handy. We ordered pizza and drinks before going back from bio bay kayaking, but the pizza place closes an hour before we could be back. While we were expecting to see stale pizza and warm drinks, she actually helped us store the drinks in a fridge. The joy to have an icy cold drink right after kayaking is unsurpassable. Other than this, the room was clean and checkin and out were also smooth. The only downside is the chickens were load all night.

Property was ok. People around the property and in the town are very racist towards Americans. Even the neighbors of the property warned us about the islands dislike towards Americans. I know I know, they are “American” but trust me when I say the locals hate the very people that provide their entire income. You will sense it with most interactions. Even the owner of the property told us that they think “the white man stole their island from them”. Outside of that, breakfast is horrendous, but the AC works great.

Great stay, great feel, great management

If you wish to experience the true essence of Vieques, Sea Gate is the right place for you. Our family of 9 spent one night at this property to enjoy the beautiful island. We split into three rooms, and everyone's experience was seamless, comfortable, and memorable. Kelly manages this hotel beautifully and went above and beyond to enhance our stay. She was incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, communicative, and approachable before and during our trip. There are horses, roosters, and iguanas on the property, which added to the authenticity of it all. I can't forget to mention the beautiful ocean view and the magical sunrise.
