We attend an excellent private event in the evening. The communal rooms were architecturally interesting & well decorated. Our room had a very comfortable bed, but missed the little comfort features on the Tea & Coffee tray which was a little disappointing. The corridors needed a little TLC & the service at breakfast was a bit disorganised.

Dated. Needs massive internal refurbishment. Appalling signage for such a massive building. No real coffee available in rooms. TVs old fashioned cannot screen mirror. Morning room service not available till midday. Very uncomfortable beds, shockley poor pillows Trading on past glories.

Great hotel

Great hotel with beautiful views and well-kept grounds. The stay overall was lovely, but I marked it down slightly as there weren’t many personal touches, especially considering we were celebrating a birthday. Another small downside was the lack of specialist coffees—only filter was available. Finally, the main restaurant was closed, not mentioned on the website, so we had to eat in the bar. It was noisy as there was a football match on. That said, these are minor points, and I’d still be very happy to return.
