Rooms were supposed to be ready by 3pm, got there at 4:30pm and the rooms weren’t ready despite having a booking and we were not given an estimated time as to when they would be available. The reception area stinks. The room was dirty; hair in the bed; tape under the bathroom door causing us to get stuck having to pull tape off to get out; glasses in the room were unclean; says free wifi in every room but had no internet or service at all. 24 hour reception yet no one at the desk when leaving. We found receptionist unhelpful and unapologetic upon arrival.

The hotel is in need of an update rooms are very tired and bathroom was grubby. There is also a smell throughout the hotel worse in the reception area. Staff were really attentive and helpful.

Hotel is tired and in need of a revamp. Bed was large and comfy. Bathroom had everything you needed. Fire alarm went off twice during the night for no apparent reason which obviously disturbed our sleep.

The hotel was in a poor state and neglected. It was unprofessionally managed. The lift was not in use so access to rooms was extremely compromised. The room was tatty, dusty behind bedside tables and holes and nails in the walls with missing pictures. There was no remote for the tv but one was provided when asked for at the main desk. The bathroom had two dead flies on the bath, no toilet roll and an unemptied bin with used sanitary products in it! This was reported to management but nothing done at the time. We had to go to the main desk for toilet roll - no phones in the room or means of communication with the reception. There was a strong smell of weed in the corridors at times. This was a last minute emergency booking late evening. The bedding was clean and fresh on the surface of things so we stayed for a minimum amount of time. We reported the issues to the staff at reception who wrote them down and we suggested they look at the rota of cleaning staff who were responsible for room 418. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

The first room I was given hadn’t been cleaned and still had someone’s rubbish left on surfaces. The second room was better. However, dusty surfaces. People smoking weed in other rooms which came through the bathroom ventilation. Comfortable bed.

It’s like a place it’s been banned whatever you seen a picture is nothing near for the money you pay it’s like you’re sleeping under the bridge but it’s not about money. It’s about a real reality. The truth what you provide is terrible very terrible. It’s like a place you’ve been bundled for years stinks of horrible of mole of dumb of everything of dirt no bar no food no water. Nothing you have to go to shop on middle of night, if you’re thirsty and the Servis just a poor lady sitting on a desk all day all night.

No spoon for making drinks, no hairdryer, no coat hangers. Bedding & towels were clean but room was very dirty, skirting boards, headboard etc were covered in thick dust and drink stains on walls and skirting board, nothing a good clean wouldn’t rectify as reception area lured you into a false sense as the rooms did not reflect and not a Hallmark hotel as pictures although noting it did not say hallmark on the description so probably used an old photo.
