Great location - 10min walk to Windermere town & cottages.com who manage the property. They were very receptive to a couple of things - same day).40min walk to Bowness/Lake.Instructions for house would have been good (no internet available).Good location. Spacious & comfy beds.Instr

Hamerbank cottage

Overall first impressions were good. Anyone with moderate mobility issues be aware there is no rail on right side of stairs or at the top, the bath screen is not a bi fold as shown in the pictures so it is fixed and sticker requested not to be moved, not good if you have small children or again an issue with mobility or as one member of our family found a tall person as there is a slope on ceiling above shower. The kitchen was equipped to a basic standard. Also worth mentioning that there is only one wardrobe in the double bedroom none in the other 2 rooms. There is a chest of drawers that has seen better days ,the drawer below top 2 drawers is holding them in place. Sink in bedroom 1 and 2 which is a wasted space as really could do with a dressing table. Having to stand to dry hair in front of mirror above sink. A extension lead that was trailing across the floor from behind the bed is a trip hazard.
