The hotel is great however the staff would benefit from additional training in customer service particularly in comprehending English more clearer. We encountered a disappointing situation when booking an excursion through the hotel. Despite receiving confirmation from both the front desk and the manager that the activity would operate as scheduled, it was later canceled due to inclement weather. When we raised the issue, we were told we had misunderstood and were refused a reimbursement. This response was unacceptable and disheartening especially since we had read similar negative experiences in previous reviews but chose to give the hotel a chance. There was a clear lack of accountability which was very disappointing given our initial expectations. Switzerland is a beautiful country so it was unfortunate that we encountered such a situation for the first time given we’re frequent travelers.

We arrived early and the front desk staff were very accommodating allowing us to drop luggage without taking the time to formally check us in which we did later. The location of this hotel is excellent if you’re arriving or departing by train.

The room we had was carved up from the store below and it felt as you were in the center of an intersection. Cars and trains were running virtually outside the window. We called Expedia trying to change the room to no avail. We discovered a lot of nicer hotels with lower star rating in the immediate area.
