Upon arrival at Hotel Continental, I discovered that the deposit I had made (£71.74) was not being deducted from my account but instead was being held as a separate payment. The hotel representative informed me that a deposit was not required, but they provided me with a receipt indicating that my deposit would be refunded to my account upon payment of the full amount of our stay. Regrettably, two weeks have passed since our arrival, and the refund has not yet been credited to my account, which is quite disappointing.

I had the double with private bathroom. Fourth floor via very steep and narrow stairs. The furniture and curtains looked really run down. Had clean sheets and running hot water. If you just need bare basics and a central location, and 100 pounds a night to throw away, this place is for you.

Great location

Ok cheap hotel, friendly reception staff, great location for the city & station. Rooms not the best, very basic, lots of noise from outside. Very dark shower, light above sink didn’t work, minuscule towel provided, no tv. Get what you pay for I suppose, but adequate.

This was a 2 night stay in a very tiny hotel room with an obscured view of the city from the window. Okay for sleeping in but the shower and toilet were both outside the room and the stairs were very steep.

Dilapidated. For the amenities, price is exorbitant. Common toilets and bathrooms. Ok for single people if at a lower price. We checked out early and got into a good hotel for exactly the same price. Attached modern private bathroom, not bunk beds etc. would not stay here again

Wasn't allowed to sit in the lobby at all. Not even to enjoy a quick coffee and warm up Room beds were comfortable but the bathroom sink leaked all over the bathroom floor, the sink had a missing shelf so had nowhere to put anything while getting ready Was freezing cold in the room at all times Booked three nights only could stay one because of the above mentioned
