On my last night (thankfully) I was awakened by an animal (likely a rat) in the wall scratching and gnawing away frantically. This went on for about 30 minutes. I was completely creeped out. If it weren't my last night, I would have checked out in the AM anyway. I told the front desk at check out and she didn't particularly care and just said 'I'll tell my colleague.' Also, a simple "thanks for staying with us" goes a long way... instead I got "here's your receipt". The room service (cleaning) is terrible. Everything was hit or miss. I didn't get coffee refilled for 3 days. They never took my dirty classes. Towels weren't always replaced with the same ones they took away. Pretty lame. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it.

This hotel completely ruined what was supposed to be a special trip. We booked 6 nights with high expectations, but reality was very different. Our mistake was not checking Google reviews before booking. At check-in we were shocked with a €300 deposit never mentioned during booking. Even two days after check-out, they’re still holding our money – unacceptable. The service was cold and indifferent. We had booked a double but got two singles that kept separating. Each bed had its own cover, making it impossible to sleep comfortably as a couple. As newlyweds this was very disappointing. When we complained, we were told we could “upgrade to a premium room” if we wanted better – no empathy at all. Only after repeated complaints did they finally fix the bed. Breakfast was another disaster: just eggs and croissants, nothing close to a real buffet. The spa, not included in the room rate, felt like a rip-off. When we tried it, it was overcrowded and poorly maintained. By 5pm one outdoor sauna even smelled like urine. Only one staff member seemed to manage everything, from sauna rituals to cleaning, which explained the poor condition. Staff overall seemed more focused on day visitors than hotel guests. It really feels like a day spa with a few rooms for rent, not a proper hotel with a spa. Overpriced, unfriendly, with hidden fees and little comfort. Save yourself the stress and book elsewhere.

Far too expensive. There are much better options in Amsterdam at a cheaper price. The bed was very uncomfortable - it wasn’t flat!! The bedroom was very cramped. The location is poor - it’s difficult to get into the centre by public transport. Guests have to pay extra to use the spa, which is very disappointing.
